The pack's shadow

283 Words
Episode 4: The Pack's Shadow_ Lily's determination to help Luca strengthened their bond, but also put her in the crosshairs of Cormac's pack. As the next full moon approached, tensions rose. One evening, while Lily performed at The Howling Wolf, a group of rough-looking men entered, their eyes scanning the room. Cormac's enforcers. Luca appeared, his presence commanding attention. "Leave now, Lily," he whispered, his voice low and urgent. But Cormac's men closed in, trapping her. Lily stood firm, refusing to back down. Just as a fight seemed imminent, a local shop owner, Elara, intervened. "Leave her be, boys. She's under my protection." The enforcers retreated, but Lily knew this was only the beginning. That night, Luca took Lily to his secluded cabin on the outskirts of town. "Cormac will stop at nothing to claim me," he said, his eyes haunted. "You should leave Ashwood, Lily." Lily's heart rebelled. "I won't abandon you, Luca. We'll face this together." As they sat by the fire, Luca revealed his past: how Cormac's pack had killed his family, forcing him to flee. The moon's power was both a blessing and a curse, tying him to the pack's will. Lily listened, her compassion and love for Luca growing. "We'll find a way to break the pack's hold," she vowed. But as the full moon rose, Luca's control began to slip. His body trembled, his eyes flashing with a primal hunger. Lily stood firm, singing a soothing melody to calm the beast within. The music worked its magic, and Luca's transformation slowed. For a fleeting moment, they shared a tender kiss, their love shining brighter than the moon. But the pack's shadow loomed, threatening to tear them apart.
