It had been two days since Sean ended things with Erin. He felt like s**t, but it was the right thing to do. How he felt didn’t matter. Emily mattered.
They talked the day after their fight. She apologized for saying she wished he’d died instead of Angela. The words still hurt, but Sean accepted her apology. She’d been extra sweet to him since, helping out at home and talking to him about everything. She’d spent less time in her room and said she loved him constantly, too. He knew it wouldn’t last forever, but it was nice to know things were better with her. He’d get over the hurt that was left over.
Since Kara was chaperoning the Valentine’s Day Dance, she offered to pick up Emily for the dance to save Sean the trip. He appreciated it. It meant he could throw himself a pity
