Sean’s heart hung on the edge of her lashes in the tears threatening to spill onto her cheeks. He waited, wanting her to tell him what he could do. He wanted to tell her all that in front of his family, so she would know he was willing to bare himself for her, but he screwed that up and made her run before he could declare his love for her.
