Erin had to come up with something to throw him off. She didn’t like the idea of lying to him, but she couldn’t share Andie’s secret either. That wasn’t fair of her.
“She’s just been worried about how things were going with Cody. She said she loves him, but she felt like he wasn’t sure about them. Since he hadn’t proposed and they were together over a year.”
Sean narrowed his eyes at her. She held his gaze, hoping he bought what she said. It wasn’t a complete lie. Andie was worried about Cody and curious why he hadn’t proposed yet. She shared that she’d been ready to marry him for months, but he hadn’t asked, even though he told her shortly after they started dating that he would one day.
