Tessa I shake my head at once, “no…. I didn't.” I lie, hoping he believes me. He keeps walking and I drag my feet a step backwards, reaching the edge of my dressing table. “Why does it seem like you did?” he asks quietly, closing the space I’m trying to keep between us.
