Tessa My breath turns shallow as I stare at the cardigan in my hands. The letter is gone. Slowly, the cardigan falls off my hands and I don't bother to pick it up. My gaze now remains on my opened bag as my mind begins to race. Who could have taken it? I haven’t unpacked the bag since I arrived here. I begin to bite my fingers. Kael gave the bag to a serving boy to bring inside. Could he have? I shake my head instantly. That’s impossible. Kael wouldn’t have told him to take such. I begin to pace around the room. So if it wasn't the serving boy, then who? My pulse sharpens and I throw my gaze to the door. There’s only one explanation. I wasn’t in the room earlier and the door doesn't even have a lock yet. Anyone could have walked in and taken it. Anyone who knew about the letter. M
