Chapter 17Father Richard Grebb stared down at the Bible verse before him. He had written the verse out in longhand over and over, hoping it would help him find the words for his homily in the morning. Thinking that maybe inspiration would come from the words, as it once had when he was new and committed, fresh out of the seminary. The verse he had written was from I Corinthians, Chapter 2, verses 1 through 5: And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
