She settled back and let the wind and the sun wash over her. “I think maybe we have spent too much time talking all about me. Tell me about you, Meg. Please.”
I didn’t expect that request. “What exactly would you like to know?”
“You could tell me about your family.”
I flipped on the cruise control. “My folks live in Albuquerque and have for forty years. My dad teaches music theory at the University of New Mexico and my mom teaches piano and voice. I was born and raised here, graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a nursing degree and a minor in music. After two years at the University of New Mexico Hospital working in pediatrics, I applied for the program at the Opera. I apprenticed for two years up here, then took a job with the Santa Fe school system.”
