The Hummer shot through the army, battering several individuals to the ground as it did so. A dark hole opened up in front of them and the driver aimed the car straight for it, increasing the speed of the vehicle yet more. In an instant they were through, the darkness around them absolute but for a row of guiding lights in the roof ahead of them.
Eva turned to see doors sliding shut in the distance behind them, the army attempting to fight through but being denied by concentrated bursts of gunfire.
