CHAPTER 5

I'm seeing a white room and a lady with a syringe and a liquid is injected into my blood stream ."Hey how are you feeling my name is Alexis am a nurse you were brought in today at 2am in the morning to the patron said you were found in the spaceship in the section they were unable to open how are you feeling?"the lady says to me .She checks my temperature and eye then moves out to call the trainers and madam Christine who rampage into the room like wild bulls . "How are you feeling young man ?"Christine says ."Am feeling okay ,"I answer .

Later on after being examined and cross examined I was called to the Christine's office ."How you feeling right now ?"Christine asked me when I enter."Am feeling okay madam ."I respond .Anna is also in the room but quiet one would think she's a statue."What's your name ?...ow Nathaniel, young man what were you doing in the restrict area or didn't you see the sign authorized personell only and to make matters worse it was after lights off time and everyone else was asleep, what do you have to say for yourself." Miss Christine says authority and compassion both clear in her voice. "Sorry madam ,but the thing is I didn't do it intentionally,I was force by something it was like my body wasn't in control anymore and when I gained control I was their where you found me exhausted and that's when I fainted ,"I lie but I know its the truth in a way ." Did you see any creature in the ship ?"Anna who had be quiet all this time asks ."No not of any kind ,"I reply with another lie something my mother had never taught me to do."You may go to class, we will investigate the matter but for now don't share any information with the fellow trainees I don't what them to fear the war before it begins and if you feel anything strange happenings in your body inform me personally immediately,you may go," Miss Christine says ashering me out.

Outside Emmah and Evan await me something I find encouraging and derilutive at the same time since from there looks I could clearly see the many question the where over flowing in them ready to burst out of them like the great Nile after a storm . "How you doing?Heard that you were found in the ship unconscious." Emmah asks . "To tell you the truth I don't really remember what happened all I remember was the sounds of the instructors when they found and that's that ."I say with my eyes pleading them not to inquire any further since truth be told I don't know what's happening to me . They don't inquire any further and that comes as a relief,we head for the weaponry class which ends earlier than normal ,since the instructors are summoned for an emergency meeting by Miss Christine.

This time Emmah and Evan don't allow me to leave their sight, they followed me around until supper which tasted like grounded gravel.

In the combat class Ronald the leader of the Steel team begins bragging as usually about how his family background gives him the upper advantage in the game. I'm don't feel my normal I feel a surge of energy. Our team being the loosers are chosen to start ,"Uranium begins the training course as always." Cat says with very low expectations written all over her voice. Evan is the first to start he manages to reach the first check point then the second something that makes us have some hope but immediately we raise our hopes they are instantly shuttered as he is knocked out and lands into the waters. I'm about to step into the simulation next but I here a voice the voice that haunted my nights saying,"Wait ..." For some unknown reason I can't even explain I tell Emmah to go in second something that causes her to frown but she obeys"Your already throwinginyour wild card Nathaniel, hahaha!" Ronald's says sarcastically. His words don't faze me , Emmah goes up to the fourth checkpoint before she's knocked out.

It's time for me to run the simulation no one is looking since they know I ain't reaching far ."Hey man !We don't have the whole day fail quickly we wanna try out, hahaha!"Kevin Adams my roommate shouts at me ."Don't worry am here for you ,"the voice in me tells me .I go through the first check point with great agility that shocked the on lookers and everyone's attention was drawn to me ,the second checkpoint seems easier than normal and makes me doubt my own strength, I go through the third checkpoint like child's play shocking even Cate . It takes me less than a minute to go through the fourth checkpoint and about two minutes to get through the fifth and the sixth checkpoints and after an hour of moving through the check points I manage to complete the whole simulation leaving everyone in ow .

The training is put to halt and Cate takes me to the Director Miss Christine who immediately calls Anna after hearing Cate's spiced up story of what had happened. Anna runs some checks on me and asked me if I felt any different but I say that I feel normal and its just the extra work outs I had been doing at night after lights out . Anna seems convinced and sends me back to class where Emmah and the others are waiting to hear what happened.

I go to Cate and asks for permission to take an early rest lying that the medication given to me was having it bad with my body ,Cate whose still under shock for I had completed a simulation that had taken her personally three weeks to complete and I had done it in just three hours maximum,she excuses me without another word and I head to the sleeping quarters and jump on my bed.

Just as I begin pondering of the events that had occured without warning the voice of the lady in my head becomes clearer and she begins saying,"Nova how I've missed you,it's been a century ....""Get out of my mind,who are and whose that Nova cause it ain't me."I lash out like a mad man luck there's no one else in the building."I know you don't remember but am sure you will and I'll be here when you do .I'll try not to contradict you now cause you know not of what you speak but I'll just tell you that you are the only thing that stands between the human race and total annihilation by the brikatones ..." She tries to explain but am to confused to get ," Just hold it who are you and why me ?" I ask alittle more calm ."Am sure you won't believe me if I told but when the right time comes I'll tell you everything about me and you ."she replies calmly."try me !"I say hastily."Will you believe me if I say am you better half ,will you believe me if I told you we were ones inseparable lover will you believe me if I told you,you were not of this planet ,"I shake my head in oww and disbelief,"I thought so too."she cocludes .

Then I ask about the crystal,"The crystal is known as the the Kronos key or the Crystal of Valeria,is the key of the gates of time and it's power is beyond our comprehension , what happened is that you absorbed since you were ones the guardian of the gates and entrusted with the key so when you came near it it recognized you and became one with you and when you die the crystal which is now your heart as it has fused with it will be left as you body turns to ashes but as long as your alive it gives you immense power enabling you to host my being within you cause without it you would burst due to the energy accumulation. I be here to help you learn to control it all you have to do is think I can listen to your thoughts since my mind and yours are fused so don't be shocked if you feel changes within you ."she articulates as I calmly listen unable to contradict due to confusion, it feels like she is talking Chinese.

She goes on with her lecture as I calmly listen like a good student since good listening is one of my strengths ,"For many like Nova the power outburst was predictable due to his training but as for you we don't know what to expect so you'll have to find a place we could train in secret for your power is beyond humanity comprehension so we can't let them know of it's existence. Always keep your emotions in check for emotions control your powers manifestation." Kevin ,James and Kreg come after the classes are over and am luck is spot to them earlier so I pretend to be asleep and they buy it .

Its three in the morning and am awake ,I try calling Ariel,"Ariel, Ariel,are you asleep?" I rummage through my thoughts hoping that she would hear me .Just then I see a vision of a land with large forest and people with wings like Ariel's but of single colours not multicolored like Ariel's then I see a boy with black wings and a girl approaching him she calls him Nova and immediately I recognized the girl by her wings multicolor,"Ariel ,"the vision fades and I fall asleep a weight of sadness hanging on my shoulder as if I miss something dearly.
