Chapter 6 Kiko threw Sander’s float out in the trash next to Buddy’s stand, disgusted at the waste. He was certain the man had not actually disliked it but rather wanted to drive it home just how far above Mount Angus he had moved. Sander had always been ambitious, had always thought their hometown had been beneath him. “Here for a float, Kiko?” asked someone from the Beer Floats stand, and he glanced over at the woman behind the counter, one of the staff at the Mount Angus Brewing Company. She was newish, moved from a town over about a year ago, if Kiko remembered correctly. “Not yet, thanks, Marissa,” he said, pushing aside his disappointment.
