Chapter 2

1 minutes, 2 minutes, an hour. She didn't come downstairs. "Ugh," Madison groaned looking away. There was no need to continue looking, Carly probably met Alex and they probably already made their way to bed. Alex was a pretty charming guy and apart from Carly looking similar to her, Carly was beautiful and looked quite intelligent. Alex would probably fall in love with her and he'd make her swoon. And they'd get together. Maybe one day, she herself might be invited to the wedding as their Matchmaker. And they'd have a kid and..... ‘Stop! That's all none of your business. You need Alex off your back and that's what matters,’ she said to herself. She wasn't jealous at all. Good for him. Good for her. It’s not like I care. But she did. And realising this made her even more frustrated. After all, this had been all her plan. The stupid, foolish plan to make Alexander Lennox leave her alone. Madison and Alex had dated while she was in the UK. She was excited, eager if for a whole experience and she just felt that he was the most charming guy she'd ever met. So, she dated him. Then, she didn't know who he was. Only thing she knew was that when this man watched her with focused blue eyes that seemed to hold his entire world, she could not reject him. But this was where their misunderstanding began. She thought it was a just a normal fling, she'd date him for a couple years while she was here and then they'd break up when she heads back to America. And for a while, she thought the break up was unanimous. But when her modelling career started getting sabotaged, she realised that her darling Alex was actually, Alexander Lennox, and not just some random hottie. And this guy, was absolutely obsessed with her. In his view, she dumped him and ran. So, he wouldn't stop messing with her career. So, she had the most brilliant idea; find a substitute for him. It felt like the most reasonable thing to do, but now.... she wasn't so sure. ‘Okay, f**k it!’ she told herself as she stood up from the corner. If Alex could be getting down on that hot girl, there was nothing stopping her from looking for some dude here to go home with! --- "What's your name?" "What?" "I said, WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!" The bar was dark and packed filled with people, loud music and voices filling the air. Usually, no one would choose to engage in small talk here, but Madison was already buzzed and too out if her mind to care about that. She laughed loudly as the stranger told her his name. Ken? Kyle? She didn't exactly remember but it was definitely a K name. She felt his hands slide around her waist as he moved closer, a little too close. She stiffened, trying hard to not to push him away. Then he leaned in, his breath warm and heavy against her neck. Madison held herself back. Do not push him.... Do not— Suddenly, he was gone! She blinked, confused. "What the hell?" She muttered. Had that been all her imagination? She looked up and was suddenly met with deep blue eyes that took her aback. Alex? Why was he here? What happened to the K-guy who was about to kiss her? She swayed dizzily and Alex caught her arm before she crashed to the floor. And with her years of knowing him, he definitely wasn't happy. “Come on,” he muttered, pulling her away from the crowd. She tried to shake him off, but he was just too strong and she was just too drunk to pulls herself away. He pulled her all the way upstairs and pulled his room card out of his pocket to open the door and take her inside. Once inside, Madison suddenly felt very annoyed and she pushed him off. "Why did you bring me here, huh?" She slurred pointing a finger at his nose. "You finished with her and now you want me to join?! Can you get any more callous, Alex?!" Alex’s sighed holding her finger away from his face. “Maddie, what are you talking about?” "You, I'm talking about you Alex. Don't like you don't know what you were doing upstairs for ages. It's not like I'm stupid." At this point, Madison was incapable of hiding her emotions. All her frustration came flooding out bitterly. “Are you even listening to yourself?” Alex snapped; his voice low. “You’re drunk, Madison. Let’s get you to bed.” “Oh, so now you’re pretending to care,” she scoffed. “That’s rich, coming from a manhole like you. Always so ready for whoever comes along.” She saw a flicker of hurt in his eyes, quickly masked by annoyance. “Enough, Madison. I’m not doing this with you.” “Yes, you are,” she retorted, stepping closer, her face inches from his. Her voice dropped, laced with jealousy. “Tell me—did she make you feel good?” Alex clenched his fists, his eyes blazing as he took a step forward, so close she could feel the heat of him, smell the faint trace of his cologne. “Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound, Maddie?” "You’re the one running off with girls while I—" Madison could feel the tears rushing to her eyes as her emotions rose to the surface. “While you’re what?” he asked, his voice softer, almost daring. "While I'm here wondering if you really do want me or I'm just some quest you never finished." Her words seemed to land a punch and his annoyance was replaced by something softer. He sighed, his hands sliding up to her face to wipe the tears already staining her cheeks. Madison felt like she should push him off but she couldn't help leaning into his touch. He was close now, so close that she could clearly see his deep blue eyes that looked like waves ready to swallow her up. It was familiar, so familiar that she couldn't help but want to surrender herself to it. "Why do you care so much, Madison?" He asked softly, his words sounding like a challenge. "Why do you bother to be jealous? Huh?" She stared at him, green eyes glistening from her tears. "Tell me, tell me that you care." Madison closed her eyes. Did she care for Alex? She did. But she couldn't be with him. Instead of answering, she closed the distance between them, lips crashing against his in a kiss filled with anger, confusion and the overwhelming desire she tried so hard to deny. He responded instantly, his mouth hot and demanding against hers as if he'd been waiting for this very moment. His hands gripped her waist, pulling her closer, their bodies pressing tightly against each other. Madison could feel her anger dissolve, replaced by a feverish desire to love this man. Her hands ran through his hair, pulling him as they stumbled backwards onto the bed. His lips travelled down her neck, sending shivers down her spine as she tilted her head back, a gasp escaping her lips. His hands roamed her body, tracing the delicate curve of her waist teasingly. His mouth found her n****e, enveloping them in a warm kiss "Alex," she gasped, pushing chest forward. Her fingers gripped his hair trying so hard not to be overwhelmed by the flood of pleasure she felt. He chuckled, moving back up to give her a kiss. She stared deep into his teasing blue eyes as his hands moved to her thighs. "You do want me.”
