Chapter 4 3

Jazmine's POV

"Ice" Taj called out his body language letting me know it was serious.

"Spain bring them up and get them settled" I ordered and he nodded walking off with Michael, Terrell, and Dice as I moved over to Taj.

"What's up?" I asked

"Another body was found, same Vipers, gang s**t, but this one is in your neighborhood a drive-by, close to your crib so the cops are swarming I recommend you staying somewhere else in the meantime" he explained and I frowned the information irritating me slightly. It wasn't that I was doing anything illegal, I just didn't really feel comfortable or safe driving around my neighborhood when it is flooded with cops.

"Alright thanks for the heads up" I replied watching as he walked away. I turned back to the building only to catch a familiar face walking out, my conscience quickly deciding that the universe was sending me a sign.

"Stalking me?" I asked amused and she followed the voice, turning her head towards me as I appreciated her work attire.

"Nice to see you again Jazmine" she replied smiling as I walked over to her.

"Is this where you're staying?" I asked motioning to the building.

"No, home visit" she replied

"So you're a doctor?" I asked but it sounded like a statement.

"Yes I am," She replied motioning to the bag in her hand.

"And you do home visits?" I asked smiling not hiding the fact that I was flirting and she released a small laugh.

"Are you flirting with me?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing, I'm happy you caught on" I replied laughing slightly and she smiled

"I'm not really looking for a relationship right now" She confessed going straight to the point, cutting me off instantly.

"And why not?"

"I have too much on my plate"

"Okay friends then?" I asked amused

"Really?" She asked clearly not believing me.

"Yes really," I answered knowing I would never settle for friendship with her and she laughed.

"Why don't you give me your number and let us meet up and talk about how much you don't want a relationship, as friends" I offered and she smiled shaking her in amusement, motioning for me to follow her as she walked to her car.

"I'm straight by the way" She announced clearly lying, opening the front door bending over unknowingly giving me a perfect view of her ass.

"Yet you're giving me your number, knowing that I'm obviously attracted to you," I told her smiling as she stood up holding out her card and I took it looking at the name.

"Brittany Davis" I recited before moving my gaze up, catching her smile.

"I'll see you around" she stated.

"I'm looking forward to it"

"Friendly" She reminded and I chuckled as she got in her car.

"Friendly" I called out and she smiled starting her car driving off as I placed the card in my pocket moving into the building.

I fixed my suit, looking in the mirror appreciating my attire as I placed on my AP watch, my locs in a high ponytail on top of my head leaving my fade to be seen. My locs were shoulder-length which I appreciated greatly since I could switch from masculine to feminine in a matter of seconds if I released my hair from its ponytail.

I had planned this meeting with my accountant two days ago since I was looking to purchase a hospital at the request of my brother, which I had to leave for in less than ten minutes. My phone rang and I picked it up deciding to answer after seeing the caller ID.

"Sarah" I greeted as I began walking out of the house.

"Hey, can I use your club on 23rd?"

"For what?"

"My friend Samantha the one you met at the cookout, she wants to keep a party for her boyfriend"

"Yeah just send me the details," I told her ending the call.

The Bet

"What about her?" Andre asked.

"Who?" I asked he motioned to a group of women specifically the one sitting down, I couldnt really see her because of the dim lights and the group of friends she had around her.

"No,"

"Why not?" Jason asked I took another sip before saying.

"She is sitting with her friends,"

"And?" Andre asked.

"Her friends are drunk,"

"And?" Jason asked confused.

"She is the only one with a beer and look at how she continuously checks her phone every five second,"

"And?"

"The beer isn't strong which means she is the designated driver her friends are drunk which means she has to leave soon, and the phone just shows that she would rather be anywhere but here, like she has much more important things to do. Which let's me know she probably won't give me the time of day because I'm not the most important thing in her life right now,"
