"Why didn't you invite Jazmine?" Nia asked the minute we entered the kitchen and Renae nodding in agreement beside me.
"I wanted to meet her" Tiana added as I sat on a stool around the island.
"She's busy today" I announced truthfully
"So how is it going?" Nia asked
"She met Aria"
"How? Didn't you have a six-month waiting list or some s**t like that?" Renae asked earning a small laugh from Nia.
"It wasn't planned, Andre didn't show up to pick up Aria, no one was free so I called her" I explained still upset with Andre since I didn't really ask for anything except him being there for his daughter when it mattered, and the sad fact was that if the school didn't call I wouldn't have known that he hadn't shown up as he promised he would.
