Chapter 3: The Revelation Lisa's response came swiftly, bringing with it a wave of relief and a flood of new questions. She confirmed that Andre did indeed live in New York and that she had seen him frequently in the park. But she hadn't seen him recently and had no way of contacting him. Armed with this new information, Yvonne felt a renewed sense of hope. She now had a city to focus on, a tangible place where Andre was. She thanked Lisa profusely and promised to keep her updated. Yvonne began to research, looking for any online communities or local resources in New York that could help her. She posted on local forums, shared Andre's picture, and explained her situation. The response was immediate and overwhelming, with people from all over the city and beyond sharing her post and offering to help. In the midst of her search, Yvonne couldn't help but feel a strange sense of closeness to Andre. Even though he was still missing, the act of searching for him, of following his digital footprints, made her feel connected to him. She could almost imagine him walking in the park, sitting in his favorite coffee shop, living his life in a city that never sleeps. One day, as she was scrolling through the responses on one of her posts, a message caught her eye. It was from a man named Carlos who worked at a local hospital in New York. He mentioned that a man fitting Andre's description had been admitted a few weeks ago after an accident. He was unable to provide more details due to patient confidentiality but suggested Yvonne contact the hospital directly. Yvonne's heart pounded in her chest. Could it be Andre? She wasted no time and immediately called the hospital. After explaining her situation to several people, she was finally put through to a sympathetic nurse. The nurse couldn't confirm anything over the phone but suggested Yvonne wrote a letter to the patient. If it was Andre, they would deliver it to him. That night, Yvonne poured her heart out in a letter to Andre. She wrote about her worry, her search for him, and how much she missed him. She sealed the letter and sent it to the hospital, hoping against hope that it would reach Andre and bring him back to her. As she waited for a response, Yvonne realized how much her life had changed since Andre's disappearance. Her world, once filled with the comfort of routine, was now dominated by uncertainty and worry. But she also realized the depth of her feelings for Andre. She was in love with him, and she wouldn't rest until she found him.
