Jack was just unwrapping a set of cufflinks that read Dad when Callum silently slipped away from it all. He found an empty interrogation room down the hall and withdrew for a while. Callum didn’t like being around Jack’s colleagues. They made him uneasy. Not because they were bad people, but because they were good cops.
