Chapter 2 “I am so sorry,” Callum mumbled for the second time the next morning. They were still in bed, dragging out the moment they both had to get up. Jack to go to work, Callum to get back to composing. Jack had perpetrators to bust, Callum had to work out the theme for an upcoming TV soap. The pillows were gone. One was lying ripped open on the other side of the room, the other was probably under the bed, for it was out of sight. The duvet was a crumpled heap at the foot of the bed. Callum snatched it to cover them up. Jack felt aches of pleasure all over his body. But judging from his partner’s contrite look he probably looked a mess. Last night had been insane, even by their standards. Jack was happy, triumphant even, that Callum had finally let down his guard, if ever so slightly
