Chapter 4 The next morning, Jack wasn’t so sure anymore. While Callum brewed coffee, he glumly sat at the kitchen table and stared into his empty cup. “We have to start telling people at some point,” Callum said, all too cheerful for Jack’s ears. “Not that everyone is going to be pleased. Man, I’m glad my grandparents are dead, this would have killed them. Or, more likely, they’d have tried to kill you.” Jack gave a grunt, then suddenly let out a low wail and slumped back in his chair. Captain Baron! His co-workers! Callum perked and quickly turned to look at him. Softly Jack moaned, “I’ll have to tell my boss.” How on earth, he pondered but didn’t say out loud, was he ever going to tell a human being that he was pregnant? Callum’s reaction was a simple, “Hm,” and then, “coffee?” J
