HER FIRST CONTRADICTION

IVY I froze. When I readied myself to be struck by him, I expected for him to use his fist, and not his lips. Whatever this was, sudden and invasive, knocked me off my senses, and my ability to think. I was still as a statue for a couple of seconds, before it finally dawned on me what was truly happening. Panic erupted in me like a volcano, the moment everything clocked for me. Naturally, my first instinct was to push him away, so I tried. With every strength I could muster at that jittery moment, I pushed. He didn't budge. His lips only just clamped down harder around mine. “No, please no!” I screamed in my head. This wasn't happening. It was a dream. There was no world in which it was possible that I– that I– I just couldn't even bring myself to say it without completely falling apart. The nerve of him to grab my hands which were still hitting hard so he could let me go, and pin them to the side. The gall of this blonde demon to try to force my lips more open for his greedy lips. He was persistent, without breaking a sweat once. A pause in my head occurred, and right after, I took a step back in my mind to see the bigger picture. What I saw made my heart summersault. My body had been pushed into a state of utter confusion. It was supposed to be protesting, but it was now trying to accommodate whatever this new feeling was. Deep down, I also wanted to know what this feeling was. Disgust? If it was just that, why did my mind begin to conjure differences in texture. His lips were a bit soft and a bit hard. I could feel a hint of his five o'clock brushing against my jaw. It caught me by surprise, and I gasped. He completely capitalized on that moment I was caught off guard, to push his tongue into mine. An electrical sizzle rushed through my body, creating a feeling that was also very new to me. My being struggled with both disgust, and curiosity. When his tongue wrapped around my tongue, and sucked it in, shame washed through me because my knees buckled. I almost fell to the ground, but his large hands quickly held me back up. Only then did he break the kiss. His breath was heavy when he opened his eyes. I caught just a glance of it before I whipped my head to the side in shame. “Look at me,” he ordered, his breath a little heavy. I couldn't speak, knowing if I did, I would expose how out of breath I also was. “Look at me!” He emphasized, dragging the words between his teeth. “Go to hell!” I screamed in my head, sending my knees up his groin area. A small grunt of pain slipped out of his lips, causing his hold on me to loosen. Jumping on the opportunity, I turned around speedily, turned the key to open the door, and fled out of the room. I didn't hear any sound of footsteps following me, but it didn't make me slow down. My feet moved so fast, I was completely out of breath by the time I had moved quite the distance away from the room in which my innocence had just been trampled on. “Princess?” My heart jumped. I looked up to see both my grandma, and Anna watching me. Joy, and relief washed through me. “Grandma?” I hurried over to them. “My princess? Why do you look so red in the face? What did that monster do to you? Did he hit you? I'll look for him if he does! I'll tear him from limb to limb if he dared hurt you, I promise! Where is he? Come out you monster!” She tried to walk past me to find Vladimir so she could confront him. I quickly reached out a hand to stop her. “Please no. Don't go anywhere. I'm fine.” “You don't look fine!” Her eyes filled with concern locked on mine. “I swear I'm fine,” I forced a smile, despite my thumping heart telling a different story. “Anna?” My gaze shifted to her. “Yes bride?” “Please take my grandmother to her room. I want to be alone tonight.” “What?! No!” Grandma heavily protested. “It's him right? I know it's him. He did something to you. He hurt you. Just tell me.” “Please leave me alone for tonight! For this one night!” I screamed out in frustration, and ran straight to my room I could already see ahead. As soon as I got in, I shut the door and locked it with a key. With my back pressed against the door, I slid down, and plopped on the floor. “No,” I muttered over and over again, my head shaking from side to side. I just didn't want to believe that happened. It was a dream. It had to be a dream. For as long as I remembered, I told myself I would be intact until the day I died. Heck I had prayed numerous times that if I would even have any romantic experience or bone in my body, it would be towards a fellow woman. How then could my first kiss be with a man? I burst into tears, unable to hold it back anymore. This wasn't supposed to happen. What the hell was even happening? Being married? To a bloody man at that? And not just that alone, but now he had kissed me? My shaky fingers went to my lips, and as contact was made, I felt the same electrical rush that occurred before. That bastard's tongue claimed me. Swiftly, I jumped to my feet and ran to the bathroom. Frantic in both my mind and body, I began to take off my dress, making a mental note to tell Anna to burn them later. Every memory about tonight, I was going to get rid of. When I stepped into the shower, I began with my lips. I scrubbed it so hard, and only stopped when it was almost bleeding. Next was my body. I needed to rid it of his touch, and scent. I spent the next hour scrubbing my body until it was both sore and glistering. Only then did I step out of the shower. That renewed feeling did not last. For as soon as I stepped in front of my mirror, my mind wandered again. The kiss- that feeling that claimed me, and made my knees buckle. “Oh no,” I muttered, as fear so raw and crippling, gripped me.
