the city

" I'm leaving to attend to the pack." Mason announced. We all turned to look at him. " Why? You don't me to go? Are you afraid you'll miss me?" He directed the last question to me and I looked away. He was right. Ever since we started being intimate and I accepted the both of them as my mates, I can't seem to want any of them away from me. Despite my displeasure, I know that I can't keep him here with me. The separation sucks. Maybe that's why Mason didn't want us to be separated in the first place. Maybe this is the reason he fought so hard to stop me from coming to the city. He has the pack to manage but I have to investigate and get to the bottom of this killing matter. " Why would she miss you when I am here with her, right princess?" Theo asked and both of them turned to look at me, expecting my answer. How childish! What are they bickering about? But honestly,I don't know the answer to the question. I love both my mates equally. I'll feel bad when one is away. My phone rang just in time to save my ass. Retrieving the phone from my pant pockets, I answered the call. " Okay, I'll be there in twenty minutes." I answered before disconnecting the call. " I'm leaving," I announced, clutching by porch and making my way to the door. " Where are you headed?" Mason asked, stopping me in my tracks. " I'll be going to my former office. I have business over there." I answered. I Know that Mason will never agree with whatever I'm planning but I can't hide it from him either. Since I want my mates to trust me, then I will not give them a reason to not trust me. " Okay, do what you have to do. Come back home safe, I'll be waiting." Mason said, making my eyes widen with surprise. Now that's not something I expected to hear from Mason. I expected his temper to flip and do anything to stop me. Anything but not this. I turned to look at Theo and he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. Mason walked to me, pulling me into his arms. " I know what you are thinking princess, but I also know that nothing I say will make you change your mind. I just want you to finish whatever you are doing here and come back home. Come to us, your mates." Mason said before kissing my forehead. " Thanks Mason, this means alot to me." I said, smiling at him. " I am also heading out. I have managed to find a way to infiltrate the prime Minister's home. I'll try to gather information and see the connection he has with this person." Theo said. " That was fast!" I said "Of Course, your mate is not an ordinary person!" Theo said, giving me the look of ' compliment me some more.' making me laugh. " Alright don't brag about it. You can leave. Make sure you stay safe." Mason added before walking out. I watched as he drove his red sports car and fled away. " I'll see you in a week." I kissed Theo before speeding away with my bike. In ten minutes,I arrived at our meeting point with Mark. He was already waiting for me. " What took you so long?" Mark asked immediately after I parked my bike. "Spare me the lecture. Do you have everything ready?" I asked and I nodded. " Yes. Thanks to you,I had to kidnap a woman and send her on a far away trip!" Mark complained, making me roll my eyes at him. " Stop whining. She is still alive. I'll get rid of her memories. She won't even remember what you did to her." I said, walking towards Tessa's house. I will be impersonating Tessa in the next seven days. If I want to succeed in this, I have to unravel what exactly happened that day I was dismissed from the team. Theo and Mason said that I must have been controlled by a spell. If that's true, that means there's a witch among the people working in that office. My mission is to find this witch because it seems he knew my identity as a wolf. We have to follow him, only he can lead us to the person going around on a killing spree. "You haven't told me Lisa, why the Head of our department? He seems to be closely following this case. He's so concerned about capturing the criminal that he often works overtime." Mark said Making me scoff. " Yeah Sure. Working so hard and yet no results?" I mocked. " What are you implying? Can you talk in plain language? I can't seem to understand your proverbs." Mark complained. " Ignorant fool! Can't you see it, something is fishy about him. Following the Case closely, working overtime? Don't you think he's hiding something or something is off about him?" I explained. " Now that you mention it. I overheard him Calling someone to meet him in the office after working hours. I didn't think more about that but now that you mention it. I can't ignore it." Mark said, making me snort. I have a feeling that this man would surely lead us to the mastermind of this whole murder case. " Keep an eye on him but don't make yourself too obvious. He's dangerous. I still don't know who set me up in the first place." I warned him. I know it's wrong to drag Mark into my mess but I also need as much help as I can get. Having someone monitor my first suspect will be helpful in cracking this case. I changed into one of Tessa's skirt suits before donning a wig to resemble her blonde hair. Making sure that everything was in place, I Left to the office in her car as Tessa. "It's now or never." I whispered to myself before making my way to the office. " Good morning Tessa. You look different today."
