I woke up laying my head on Theo's warm chest

“ I thought you would never come.” I remember hearing Mason say that before everything else turned foggy.

Mason's hand was snaked around my waist as he pressed himself on me. I had zero recollection of what happened earlier. The last I could remember was Theo joining us and having Mason eat me down there with his tongue.

I blushed, remembering how I had moaned out loud as Mason's tongue worked on my c**t, bringing me to an edge before I exploded in his mouth.

My cheeks felt hot, and a shy smile graced my lips. I could not imagine that it was me who behaved so wantonly.

“ Why are you blushing?” Theo asked, smiling at me, making me feel even more embarrassed.

Why did he have to point out that I was blushing? Could he at least spare and not expose me?

“ We are your mates, so you don't have to feel embarrassed about anything.” Theo added, making me snuggle more on him.

Unlike Mason, who was controlling and authoritative, Theo's was easy going.

“ Do you like him more than me? You just met him.” Mason complained, making me wonder how he knew what was in my mind.

“ We are mates, so I can feel your emotions.” Mason answered my unasked question.

“ Why can't I feel yours?” I asked, wondering how they could feel my emotions through the bond and I can't.

“ Partly because we haven't marked you and partly because you haven't activated your wolf abilities.” Theo replied as he buried his face in the crook of my neck.

“ Your scent is getting stronger.” Theo commented, making me c**k my brows at him.

How does he know my scent is getting stronger when this is his first time meeting me, or am I missing something here?

“ Apparently, my brother has been sneaking into the pack to get a look at you.” Mason said with a chuckle, and I turned to look at Theo with a questioning gaze.

Why would he need to sneak into the pack to see me when he can just come without hiding? One more thing, why did he only sneak a peek at me? Did he never think that I would want to see him, too?

“ I wasn't ready to have a mate.” He answered, looking away, and I don't understand why, but his words really pained me.

He wasn't ready to have a mate? Did that mean I was unwanted by him?

I looked away, controlling my stupid tears that wanted to fall.

I don't understand why I am feeling this way. I am not entitled to demand him to want me, but hearing him say that he wasn't ready for me in his voice really didn't sound pleasant.

“ Hey, don't be sad. I knew he would come around. The bond would not let him stay away for long. Isn't he here now?” Mason tried to comfort, but I don't know whether he was trying to make things worse or console.

So, it turns out that he didn't come around because he was finally ready to have me in his life, but because the bond pulled him to me?

I didn't know what was worse, him being not ready for me or him coming to me because of the pull of the bond.

The tears I was attempting to hold in finally broke loose, and I let them fall.

“ Hey, why are you crying?” Mason asked, panic evident in his face and voice.

Theo glared at his brother before pulling me to himself and started rocking me like a baby.

“ I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just not ready to come back home. Not only that, but I didn't know if I'll be able to come back to the pack because I knew that a mate would mean that I have to leave the woods and go back home.” Theo explained.

“ Now that I have seen how perfect you are, do you think I can escape you anymore? You have me wrapped around your little finger mate and I can't escape anymore. Not like I want to escape.” Theo added.

I could feel the sincerity in his words.

Sniffling, I wiped my tears before propping on my arms, looking him straight in the face.

“ So you have decided to come back home?” I asked. I could feel I wasn't the only one anticipating the answer, Mason wanted to hear his response too.

Looking away, Theo nodded.

“ But…” I cut him off before he could complete his statement.

“ No buts, Theo. You already agreed to come home. I want to have both my mates beside me. I don't want anyone to stay away, if not, I'll be leaving.” I threatened, only to hear two simultaneous growls.

“ I won't let you go anywhere.” Mason declared possessively, making me roll my eyes at him.

He likes playing the role of an overprotective father, not knowing that I'm no child and can do what I want. If I decide to leave now, none will be able to stop me.

“ I just need a few days, then I'll move back to the pack house.” Theo said and I nodded.

“What actually happened to me?” I asked, deciding to approach the topic, although I found it uncomfortable, I still wanted to know what happened to me.

Theo chuckled, “you passed out after an orgasm, making me wonder, are you a virgin?” He asked, making my face burn up.

Mason chuckled beside me, enjoying seeing my flushed face.

“ Apparently our little mate is a virgin.” He said, and I could feel him teasing me through the tone of his voice.

“ Why? You hate it that I'm a virgin?” I asked, glaring at Mason, only to have him raise his hands in surrender and shrug his shoulders.

“ I never said that.” He defended himself.

“ Virgin or not, I like you regardless.” Theo confessed, kissing me shortly before pulling away and lying down.

He then pulled me into his arms.

“ Theo, can I ask a question?” I probed and Theo nodded.

“ Do you promise to answer truthfully?” I asked, and he kept quiet for a while before he answered,

“If it's something I can answer, then I will.” He replied.

I knew my next question might ruin the good mood now, but, nevertheless, I still asked. I needed answers.

“ Why did you leave home?”

Silence reigned after I asked my question. I could feel Theo stiffen and worry consume Mason.

“ I promise to answer you, but not today.” Theo replied and I nodded.

Although I was disappointed that I didn't get the answer today, at least he promised to tell me later.
