Bound To Twins

Tessa's house

The first thing that came into my mind was to strike the assailant. It was out of instinct but I managed to stop myself.

My eyes met Lorenzo's ugly orbs and for a moment,I saw the ruthless commander Lorenzo I had faced months ago at the conference hall.

He seemed like he would swallow me whole.

" Darling, what's the matter?" Assuming my roleplay, I asked in a coquettish voice blinking my eyes cutely at him.

I just prayed that he would not buy my innocent act and stop attacking me.

" Who was that man who dropped you off?" He asked. I could feel that tinge of ruthlessness in his words, making me shudder.

" Damn you Mason!" I cursed inwardly.

That bastard really got me fixed into some s**t before running away? Was that the reason he was grinning when he left?

I swear I will take my revenge on him.

" He's my brother." I blurted out the first excuse that came into my mind.

Lorenzo's eyes narrowed on me and his grip on my neck tightened.

" Brother? The last time you said you don't have a brother?" Lorenzo barked,his saliva landing on my face.

Feeling disgusted,I pushed him away roughly.

" That's my god brother!" I lied assuming a fierce stand.

I won't let Just anybody push me around. I am not Tessa and such behaviour is unacceptable to me.

" What do you think? You think that I have an affair with him? I have remained loyal to you despite having a wife. If you doubt my love for you, we should just break up. I don't see a reason why we should continue with this relationship when you have doubts about me." I decided to play the victim card, making sure he feels guilty about how he just treated me.

If I want to investigate this man, then I should have the upper hand here.

I will make him come begging me. When that happens, it will be easy to get information from him or even infiltrate his office.

I can see that the guy is p***y whipped. I'll use that to my advantage.

" I'm sorry Tessa. I didn't know." He said but I remained unmoved.

" Yet you could not ask me nicely? If I wanted to cheat on you, do you think I would do it so openly? Besides,if I wanted to be with another man, I'd Just break up with you and go to him but I NEVER did that. Is this how cheap your love for me is?" I asked coldly and I could see that Lorenzo was taken aback by my countenance

From what I know and heard from Mark, Tessa is a soft-spoken woman and nothing compared to what I was displaying but at this point I didn't care

Assuming another side was a risk I was willing to take to have a leash on this man.

" I'm sorry. It won't happen again." Lorenzo said.

" Leave my office,I have work to do." I ordered coldly before ignoring the man and starting my duties.

" Please sweetie, let's talk about this."

" We have nothing to talk about. Leave now, I want to be alone." I ordered.

After observing me for a while, Lorenzo turns to walk out of my office.

I can't help the smile that graces my lips.

With his guilt eating him up, he is bound to make a mistake

That's when I will put my plan into motion.

Time passed by quickly and soon it was lunch time.

Just when I was about to step out to the cafeteria to grab a bite, someone knocked on my door.

After granting them permission to enter, I heave a sigh of relief when I realise it's not Lorenzo.

" Food delivery for Miss Tessa Smith." The man says making my brows furrow.

" I did not order anything," I argue but without another word, the delivery man places the food on the table before walking away.

Opening the package, I find several dishes beautifully packed and a note lying on top.

" I prepared all your favourites. I wish to see you smile for me soon, nice lunch." The note read.

I don't need anybody to tell me who is responsible for sending the food over.

Opening the dishes, the scent of seafood hits my nose making me gag.

I hate the smell of seafood. It is enough to make me vomit my intestines.

I rummage through the dishes and the only thing compatible with my body is the fried rice and veggies.

Keeping the rest aside,I enjoy my lunch knowing that it would be suspicious if u still go to eat at the cafeteria even after all my favourites are delivered to me.

After lunch, I get back to work.

When it's almost closing time, a knock sounds at my door.

Another delivery man enters my office carrying a bouquet of white Camellia.

I have never been a fan of flowers but seeing the beautiful flowers before me, my heart swells with happiness.

If only the flowers came from my mates.

" Miss Smith, a delivery for you." The man announces, passing the flowers to me.

I take them, sniffing them.

Another note lays on top of the flowers.

Taking it, I open it.

It read," I'm sorry, please forgive me. I Love you."

Just when I am about to scoff and throw the note away, my eyes catch sight of Lorenzo's silhouette standing outside my door. Our eyes collide for a minute, neither of us saying anything. I can't show him that flowers and food played the trick of placating me. Not like I would ever want him to.

He smiles at me before walking away.

I don't stay back for long.

Walking to Mark's office, I find him ready to leave the office and we leave together.

We have some issues to discuss so we head straight to Tessa's house.
