Chapter 10 He felt like s**t in the morning, so he had three strong cups of coffee before going to work. He managed to get through the morning but by lunch his head was pounding. He left his lunch in the fridge and went down to the local pub for an order of wings and a quick beer. It wasn’t enough to get him in trouble with the bosses, but it was enough to set his grating nerves at ease for a few hours. See, I can handle this. There’s nothing wrong with the odd drink. The euphoria of the beer wore off before the end of the work day and by the time he was able to pack up for the day, not only was his head pounding, but he felt irritated and snappish.
