Chapter 1 Late April, 2019 It was a wet spring, rainy and cold, but at least the rain was washing away the mucky snow. Today was one of the rare decent days when the perpetually grey sky wasn’t dropping showers everywhere, so today most of the office had gone out for lunch. Benny stayed behind, taking his bag lunch to his desk to enjoy a little quiet time before the afternoon hustle picked up. He had a client coming at one on the nose to make changes to a will and he’d been warned by his boss that this was an important client – as important as clients got in this neck of the woods.
