Chapter 3

*5 months later*

“Chelsea it will be okay, our child will be fine,” Chad says.

“Are you sure? She could not be alive!” I say.

“She’s fine!” he says.

“Chelsea Kroeger nice to see you. Let's get you prepped for labor,” the doctor says.

“Go on babe I'll be right behind you,” Chad says.

I am immediately taken back and prepped for labor. They got me all prepped and I went into labor. When the baby was born that is the first time I have seen Chad cry. He cried at the sight of our beautiful daughter.

“Chelsea she looks like you,” Chad says.

“Yes she is beautiful,” I say back.

“And she’s ours,” Chad says.

He is so proud of that little angel faced baby. I can see it in his eyes. He loves her and so do I. That day went by fast with the baby.

“Chelsea it’s okay I was being a little b***h to you then and I am sorry that I was tryin to be a mom to you instead of a friend to you. I shouldn’t have acted that way, I should’ve been a better friend to you than I was being,” Bethany says.

“Are we cool now or what?” She asks.

“Yes were cool,” I say.

After making things right with Bethany I go home where Chad is patiently waiting at home for me with Crystal Lynn Kroeger. That is what we decided to name her.

“Hey Chelsea, is Crystal Lynn sleeping yet; because we need to talk,” Chad says

“Yeah I just got her to bed. What did you want to talk about?” I ask.

“Well the guys and I are going to get together and write a new album,” He states.

“Oh really now!” I say excited.

“Yeah and we have all agreed that we want you to be on the album with us. I know you have a great voice because I recorded you singing in the bathroom one night. So would you?” He finally asks.

“Oh my god I don’t know what to say,” I say.

“How about yes?” Chad asks.

I shook my head in agreence with him. We start laughing until the point of tears. It is a beautiful moment, the next day we fly back to Canada to his luxury home. Where we set up all the baby’s stuff and proceed to get his mom to watch the baby while we are out at work making the new record. When I finally saw the guys of Nickelback for the first time since Chad and I hooked up, it feels very strange because I barely know them. But I know Chad so well. I mean we already have a child. which is very beautiful.

“Chelsea nice to see you again,” they all say.

After we caught the rest of Nickelback up to speed we began the writing process for the new album. It is a long and grueling process that took many weeks and many months to complete but once it was done we were very proud. Going in to the studio is a mind blowing experience. In between taking care of the baby and writing the new album, I have very little time to myself. When I got the chance I tke advantage of every single moment.

“Chelsea I think we need a date night,” Chad says.

“Agreed, babe maybe we can talk to your mom and see if she will watch Crystal Lynn,” I say.

“Good idea Chels,” he says.

Amy Chad’s mom agrees to watch Crystal, and we go out on a date at this fancy restaurant. The décor is beautiful. The food is amazing and Chad is being a huge flirt. But I love him. He is the most romantic he has ever been. Chad is the sweetest thing that I ever laid eyes on. Before I met him I never thought that I would meet a real man, but at that very moment I knew that I had found and met a real man.

“Babe I am having such a good time tonight, I needed a break from life right now. Ah just like when we first met,” I say.

“I thought that you would like this date night because I wanted to treat you to something similar to our very first date,” he says.

“Awe well thank you baby, I much needed this,” I say.

“You’re quite welcome baby,’ he says.

The night makes me feel truly free and like a rockstar. I have never been this close to the edge of what is real and what is not. He took me to places that I have never been. I am absolutely head over heels in love with Chad Kroeger. I think that it is my destiny, my destiny to be married to Chad Kroeger. This is a new way of living. A way that I never knew when I was growing up. I am completely and thoroughly taken care of. He never leaves me wanting anything, he gives me what I want and need. He always does that, and I love it.
