“Well?” Elanora demanded. “Where is he?”
Cilla rolled her eyes subtly and walked past the other woman without a word. She was in no mood to deal with her theatrics. Allegra watched as her friend left and honestly did not blame her. She noticed that Niklaus was fidgeting, almost as if he wanted to do the same. The last thing she wanted to do was to be completely alone with her sister, however. The presence of a third party was the only chance she had at escaping this meeting unscathed.
“He met up with some doctors at the fundraiser and it didn’t look like he was ready to leave, so Nik and I arranged for him to be picked up when he’s ready,” Allegra said calmly as she also walked past her sister into one of the seldom used lounges on the bottom floor.
