“Now that we have met all our obligations for the day, we can finally have that lazy day you wanted,” Vladislav suggested as he still held her on his lap.
“The day is nearly over,” Allegra reminded him. “We wasted it doing our boring royal duties.”
“You are Queen now. At some point you will become accustomed to all of this,” he said gently. “In the mean time, we could go back to our suite. Maybe have our dinner served there. We do not have to be disturbed by anyone else for the rest of the day.”
Allegra smiled at the thought, knowing it was everything she had wanted to hear all day.
“I'm not Queen yet, remember? Could you go up first?” she asked as she suddenly remembered something. “I have to have that talk with Cedai and now seems as good a time as any.”
