They all eventually made their way upstairs after the slightly emotional reunion between brother and sister. Allegra was overjoyed despite the disapproving frowns both her parents were still wearing. The moment they were all seated in the large sitting room, however, she felt panic arise in her chest. Vladislav had already shown how little interest he had when it came to having anything to do with her family. What if they were just setting themselves up for a monumentally tense five weeks? She almost regretted convincing him to postpone the wedding.
