Beverly turned to leave, only to have her arm grabbed. She couldn't overpower Elroy, so she eventually gave in and sat at the dining table. Although reluctant, the sight of the delicious breakfast made her grudgingly pick up her utensils and eat. Elroy, meanwhile, seemed to be in an uncharacteristically good mood. His deep-set eyes occasionally glanced at her as he ate, and for reasons he didn't care to explore, he ended up finishing much more food than usual.
