CHAPTER 13: Rescue Mission – (3)

*Hojun’s POV*

“DANBI??! H... How?” I asked in disbelief.

“I'll explain later” she answered. Danbi immediately took out a knife to cut the rope that tied me.

But Sok Gyo came to grab her hair. Danbi knife fell beside me.

Danbi punched Sok Gyo in the face, Sok Gyo fell again and said,

“You b***h. You have your strength back” he said to Danbi.

“Hmph... thanks for your long conversation, I can gather my strength” Danbi said with a smirk.

Sok Gyo ran and hit Danbi again, Danbi immediately responded with all his self-defense moves.

While they’re fighting, I immediately grabbed Danbi's knife using my feet, dragging it closer to my hand. I moved my body strongly so that my hand could reach the knife.

After I grabbed it, I started slicing the rope that tied my hands really tight. The rope slowly cuts.

After I freed my hands, I immediately cut the rope that tied my legs and body. Meanwhile, Danbi is still doing a fist fight with Sok Gyo.

When I wanted to stand up, I slowly picked up my gun that had fallen during the fight earlier. When I walked out, I saw Sok Gyo's men fighting in front using pistols and other weapons. I focused my eyes to see more clearly, it turned out that the Bravo team is fighting against them.

I smiled a little confidently, and immediately went back to help Danbi. I kicked Sok Gyo from the side and made him fall. Sok Gyo took out his bomb controller from his pocket, I immediately kicked him so that it slipped out of his hand. I approached him,

“How dare you hurt Danbi!” I said while punching his face.

Suddenly someone shouted, "ALPHA!!"

I looked back and suddenly Sok Gyo's men punched me. I fell. Apparently Sok Gyo's men managed to bring the Bravo team here.

They made a circle and surrounded us.

“Starting from now, Alpha team is active again. Alpha team and Bravo team will fight against Lee Sok Gyo's gang, all are allowed to use weapons. There's only one rule... Don’t die!” I said to Alpha team and Bravo team.

“Yes Sir” they replied.

Lee Sok Gyo laughed and said "Kill them".

All of Sokgyo's men immediately ran towards us, and the Bravo team attacked Sok Gyo's men. Apart from punching and kicking each other, they had reached the weapon stage, they both took out their weapons and fought using them. Danbi and I snuck out of the circle to catch up with Sok Gyo.

When our concentration was distracted by Sok Gyo's men, Sok Gyo suddenly went to get a chair and ran to Danbi to hit her with a chair. I ran to block her and the chair hit me. Suddenly blood dripped from my back. Danbi looks shocked and said,

“Hojun what did you do?!! You're bleeding” she said.

“We only one rule. Don't die... now go kick his ass!” I said to Danbi.

Danbi immediately ran towards Sok Gyo and took out his gun. She fired her gun at the Sok Gyo. But her shots missed continuously because Sok Gyo is running erratically. Sok Gyo took the bomb controller and ran as fast as possible.

I immediately ran and caught up with them to help Danbi. I managed to catch them through a shortcut. I threw a very hard punches at Sok Gyo. I twisted his arm so he dropped the controller.

Sok Gyo punched me in the face, I wrestled with him. I didn't expect an old person like him to have this strong stamina, he must have been exercising all this time. I can't be careless. He ran back into the building, Danbi and I immediately ran after him.

Arriving in the building. Sok Gyo was blocked by Bravo Team who defeated all of Sok Gyo's men. They had tied them to the pillar, all of Sok Gyo's men were unconscious. Now only Sok Gyo himself remains. Bravo team immediately cornered him against the wall, as well as me and Danbi.

“What kind of bomb is that?” I whispered to Choi from the Bravo team who was next to me, while secretly pointing at the vest bomb that Danbi was wearing.

“If I'm not mistaken, this looks like a c2 bomb. Has a decent explosive power, but very strong to scatter the human body. But I can't seem to see the timer on the vest” Choi said.

“Sok Gyo holding the controller. We have to get that controller away from him. Don't be careless” I said.

“Yes sir. But don't shoot the controller, the bomb will explode immediately” Choi replied.

“Ok. Understood” I said.

“I may be alone, but I have this. I know you guys will definitely try to keep me away from this controller. But like I said earlier, I had this all planned” Sok Gyo said to all of us.

I took out my gun and pointed it at Sok Gyo, Danbi and the bravo team also pointed their gun at Sok Gyo.

“Wow wow wow... easy. Is this how you play? Yurihan's famous bodyguards. 1 old man, against 7 young people. Isn't this bullying??” he smirked to us.

“Shut your mouth” she said,

“Hei, young lady. I acknowledge your courage. I also admit your skill in fighting, but I warn you, you are on the wrong side” he said to Danbi.

“SHUT. UP!!!” she screamed.

Danbi fired her bullet at the wall behind Sok Gyo. She almost hit Sok Gyo's head. He looked shocked, but he immediately smiled and said,

“You won't shoot me, because I know you weren't raised like that. Seeing what happened all this time, and how you guys beat my men” he said calmly.

I immediately pulled the trigger of my gun and fired it beside his hand. Sok Gyo was shocked again and the controller fell from his hand.

I immediately ran to beat him, but Sok Gyo quickly grabbed the Danbi and aimed the knife at her neck

“You think I don't know your attempts to keep me away from the controller? I always have a backup plan” he said to us.

Sokgyo pressed danbi's shoulder and suddenly there was a flashing light from the vest, and a ticking sound.

“That's the timer!!” Choi suddenly said.

I immediately gritted my teeth and ran towards Sok Gyo. But Sok Gyo immediately fired his gun at my chest. I stopped and fell backwards.

Bravo team immediately shouted and was about to attack Sok Gyo. Danbi immediately ran away and ran towards me.

“Hojun! Are you alright? You're bleeding a lot, from your other wounds too” she said to me in concern.

“It hurts so bad…” I tried to stand up.

“But it means I’m not dying. I'm wearing a bulletproof vest inside” I smiled and tried to get back up.

Danbi helped me to get up. I'm looking for a timer in Danbi's vest. And I found it, 2 minutes remaining. I immediately got up and walked towards the Bravo team and ordered Choi to defuse the bomb in Danbi's vest, and the bravo team to guard them. It’s now between Sok Gyo and me.

*Danbi’s POV*

“I will try to defuse it now” Choi said to me.

I nodded and let him do his job. I looked at Sok Gyo who was fighting Hojun. I saw Hojun's eyes filled with hatred towards his father. Sok Gyo's eyes were also full of hatred. Is this what happens when a grudge overwhelms you?

“Miss Danbi, sorry for the long wait. I'll take off the vest now” Choi said. I sighed in relief.

I removed the vest carefully, because there were so many cables blocking it.

“I managed to turn off the timer, but this bomb is not yet tame, and can still explode with the controller” he added.

I am shocked and I looked at Sok Gyo, unfortunately Sok Gyo managed to escape from Hojun and ran towards the controller. He took the controller.

Choi immediately helped me take it off quickly and immediately threw it to the other side. At the same time, Sok Gyo pressed the button the bomb exploded in the air. The rocks in the building fell and began to fall on us. Hojun immediately grabbed me and we ran outside.

“BRAVO TEAM!! CATCH HIM!!” Hojun screamed.

We got out and ran after Sok Gyo. When we got outside, we saw Detective Kang and the police were waiting at the location with their weapons. We managed to surround Lee Sok Gyo.

“You won't be able to sustain this. I will be back! I will make you feel what I feel!!” said Sok Gyo.

“Shut it! Enough with your words. I'm fed up. You molested me since childhood, you threw me into an orphanage, you tried to kill Danbi's father twice, you tried to destroy the company by killing innocent people, you attempted to kill Danbi, and it was your decision that made my mother die. This is all your doing. You have to pay for it yourself!” Hojun walked to him and pulled the trigger of the gun, he aimed the gun at Sok Gyo's head.

Me and the others were all shocked. Detective Kang and the others wanted to stop him but hesitated because Hojun was holding a gun.

“Lee Ho Jun, lower your gun” Detective Kang shouted.

“Hojun. This isn't you” I came to Hojun.

“You don't want to kill other people. You're not like him, you're different. Don't do things you will regret” I hold his hand, and lower his hand.

“Thank you. Now please calm do…”

BANG!!!

Sokgyo shot my stomach. I fell and was pushed back.

DORR DORRRR!!

Hojun immediately shot Sok Gyo in his leg.

Sok gyo screaming in pain, “That is what happened if you’re WEAK!!”.

Hojun immediately approached me,

“Hey hey. Danbi. Look at me. Don't fall asleep. Stay awake. Look at me” He said.

“You’re copying me” I laughed in pain.

“Forgive me. Forgive me. I shouldn't have allowed you to get involved in this dangerous thing. Forgive me” Hojun said while pressing my wound to stop the bleeding.

“Hojun. It was never your fault. This is my decision. Thanks for not killing Sok Gyo” I smiled at Hojun who was slowly crying. Hojun nodded and immediately lifted me into the car.

I looked to the side, Detective Kang and the policemen ran to handcuff Sok Gyo. They took Sok Gyo to the ambulance, to receive first aid before being taken to the police station. The other policemen immediately entered the abandoned building to pick up all of Sok Gyo's men.

“Detective Kang, I leave them to you” Hojun said to the detective.

Hojun and I immediately went to the hospital, the bravo team returned to their residence to rest.

“Danbi, stay with me. Stay with me. Stay awake. We're going to the hospital soon” Hojun said. Hojun held my hand, but Hojun's voice slowly started to fade and I was unconscious.
