*Hojun’s POV*

I can't help myself when I see Danbi worrying about me like this, my heart is burning.

I moved my face closer to hers, I caressed her cheek slowly to give her a kiss.

Shit! What a boomer. We opened our eyes awkwardly,

“Sir, we got a situation here in room 280” they said

We looked at each other and ran to The Chairman’s room immediately.

When we arrived, I opened the door, and the guards were fighting someone in the room.

I studied the situation first, looking at the opened window, I think this guy is coming from there.

We immediately took out our guns and pointed them at the person.

He immediately raised his hand and stopped his punch at the guards, he walked back slowly and jumped out of the window quickly.

We helped the guards up, and asked them a few questions.

“How did this happened?” I asked.

“The window suddenly opened from the outside, when walking towards the window, the person suddenly jumped and went inside. He was carrying a knife, but we managed to brush it off. But we couldn't see his face because he was wearing a mask and hat. Sorry, Sir” they answered.

There’s a knife next to the bed, I think it was his knife, for now I took a handkerchief and put the knife in the plastic as evidence. I looked at Danbi, and she’s holding the chairman’s hand tightly. Thankfully, the chairman is alright, the vital is normal.

“Danbi, should we go now to send the evidence to the police?” I patted her shoulder.

“How about you? Are you able to get out of the hospital?” she’s still worried about me at a time like this.

“What are you saying? I even ran here to fight. Don’t worry, we’re not going to fight in the police station” I smiled at her to reassure her. She nodded and we walked together to the exit door.

“I’ll send 2 people from Delta team to help you guys. 2 people guard from the outside, and 2 people inside. Report me if anything unusual happen. Good work guys, stay safe” I briefed them before I go, I immediately call the Delta team to send 2 people here.

Danbi and I went straight to the police station to submit the evidence.

“You know; I just came from the police station when you were still unconscious. The Bravo team called you, I picked it up, they said they got the 5 intruders. And I heard their interrogation with the police. I know who sent them” Danbi explained to me.

“What? Who?” I asked her.

“There’s this person, he was my father’s college best friend. But 16 years ago, my father accidentally gave him a wrong medicine for his late wife. And the medicine slowly took his wife's life. That’s why he holds such a deep grudge against my dad” she explained to me.

“Okay you have to explain more, later. We can track him from the office.” I answered her.

We arrived at the police station, I looked at her again and found her asleep in the car seat, she looks really tired, her body is full of dirt from fighting. Hhh, what a beautiful soul.

I lowered the back of her seat, and quickly put a blanket on her body, I caressed her hair and smiled at her before I go inside the police station.

(10 AM, at the police station)

“Can you please find who’s the person? Maybe he left a fingerprint” I asked detective Kang.

“Let me see. But the result will take a little longer, maybe this afternoon. But I’ll report to you as soon as possible” the detective replied.

“Okay, I’ll leave it to you. Thank you” I said to him. I left the police station and rushed to the car to take Danbi to her house.

“Danbi, we’re here. Go wash yourself and get some sleep” I woke her up.

She woke up and looked around,

“You too, go wash yourself and get some rest” she said to me.

After I washed myself, I’m about to change the bandage with a new one, and put medicine on the wound, and someone knocks on my door.

“Can I come in?” I looked to the door and there’s Danbi standing at the door.

“Can I help treat your wound?” she asked me.

I smiled at her, she walked towards me and put the medicine on my wound. She’s so gentle, but the wound still hurts. Her duality is insane, such an interesting person.

“Why do you want to work with your life on the line? Let alone help us, who are not your family. Your body is full of wounds like this, don't you regret it?” she asked me softly from my back while putting a bandage on my body. I smiled at her and chuckled a little.

“Since I was a child, I have always been abused by my father. Especially after my mother died, when I was 11. Then he threw me into an orphanage. I have no one, that's when I learned self-defense, to avenge my father. I have always cultivated hatred towards him. After 1 year, suddenly the Chairman visited the orphanage. He saw me, and realized my potential. Your father paid for my martial arts classes for 7 years. before finally your father asked me to work in Yurihan. Your father always believed in me. I consider him as my own family. For me this wound is nothing compare to his kindness towards me” I explained.

I looked at Danbi, she looked at me with pity, and then she back-hugged me.

“I don’t know any of that. I just want to say I’m glad that you’re with us now. Thank you. I don’t know what will I do without you, especially in a situation like this” she said to me with her shaking voice.

I stroked her arms, her head, and we looked at each other. Our face is just inches apart.

I caressed her cheek, our face moved closer, I kissed her. She slowly kissed me back, making me smile in my kiss. I get up to face her properly before I put her down on my bed to deepened the kiss.

All this time I found Danbi very attractive, but I felt she was very untouchable, with the changing circumstances now, I feel she is 100 times more attractive than before, and now she is no longer someone untouchable. I feel so blessed. I kissed her forehead and we slept in each other’s arms.
