CHAPTER 11: Rescue Mission – (1)

*Danbi’s POV*

After Hojun took me to the hospital, I immediately went to my father's room. Hojun decided not to see my father. I feel angry and sad at the same time. Because when he’s with me, he would be very protective which made my heart melt. But all the words he spoke, and all the paths he chose were the complete opposite of his behavior.

When I arrived at dad's room, dad greeted me with good news.

“I can go home tonight” he smiled at me.

“Really? Wow, that's a very good news. Let's get your stuff ready. But are you really okay?” I asked him.

“Yes. I feel well. Only sometimes the stitched marks still hurt. But this doesn't stop me” he answered.

“Fiuh thank God. Okay dad. I will take care of all the administration. Then we go home” I smiled at him.

My dad smiled at me. And I immediately went out to take care of the administration. Right, I live to see his smile, I would do anything to protect my father.

After finishing taking care of the administration. I returned to my father's room, and immediately led him to the car, accompanied by 4 bodyguards guarding father. We immediately returned home.

(at Danbi's house)

“Dad, you can go first. I will park the car. I’ll catch up to you soon” I said to my dad.

“Please accompany dad inside, and bring his stuff too” I said to the bodyguards.

They got out of the car and entered the house. I immediately parked the car in the yard. I pondered after I parked the car. Should I tell dad about Lee Sok Gyo's bomb plan? But I don't want to worry him.

Suddenly a voice shocked me

BOOM!!

I was shocked and looked at the house. My house is on fire and emits a lot of smoke. I'm really in shock. Is this the bomb that Lee Sok Gyo said??!! They don't want to bomb the company? But my house???!!!

I immediately got out of the car and shouted, looking for dad.

"Dad???? Dad!!! Where are youuu??!! DAD!!" I shouted.

I tried to search, but the rocks fell again and blocked my path and also my vision.

“Delta team!! Where are you??!! Are you all safe??!!” I shouted again.

I'm so weak. I could only scream, hoping they would hear. I called out their names one by one, including all the maids in the house. I am hopeless. Please… please someone answer me!

Then I saw the rock moving, it turned out that one bodyguard managed to save himself. I want to call him, but someone slashed his knife into my back. My legs went weak and I fell. My back hurts so bad. I tried to get up and hold on, but the person hit me on the head from behind with a wood.

I immediately fell to the ground, I lost a lot of blood. My vision began to blur and finally I lost consciousness.

*Hojun’s POV*

I immediately drove to Danbi's house together with the Bravo team. We've called the fire department, and they're on their way. When we got there, we immediately went on a rescue mission.

We saw the chairman was saved. He was lying on a stretcher, and is receiving the oxygen. He was unconscious again; his body was covered in wounds again.

"Delta team. Immediately return to the hospital for treatment!" I sent the chairman's bodyguards.

Together we searched for all the people who were lost by the rocks. We started to find the missing people one by one. But there's no sign of Danbi yet.

3 maids were pierced by the building blocks and died, while 5 others were seriously injured. Everyone was immediately taken to the hospital. And the fire department worked to put out the fire. The neighbors are all crowded around this house.

Danbi still hasn’t been found. In the end, I ran inside this burning house to find her.

I ran into the dining room, the kitchen, my room, the maid's room, the chairman's room, and her own room. I opened the secret door in Danbi's room. And everything is shattered. Just rocks and wood ruins. The foundations of the building began to weaken.

“DANBI!!!! DANBII! WHERE ARE YOU??! DANBI! PARK DAN BI!!!!" I shouted with all my might. But there's no sign of her. Did she die inside? My mind was suddenly confused.

"Alpha. Alpha. Get out soon. This building is not solid!" said the Bravo team through the walkie talkie. I immediately ran outside because the foundations of the building were already weakened.

I was really overwhelmed; I can’t think rationally. I looked for her all over the house, and she couldn't be found. With all the neighbors gathered, I asked them if they saw Danbi. But there were no witnesses who saw this incident. No one knows of her existence.

"Alpha. Come here" said one of the Bravo team. I ran to him.

"There's a trace of blood here. This blood isn't dry yet, it means this just happened not long ago" they said.

"IMMEDIATELY TAKE A SAMPLE OF THE BLOOD AS PROOF!" I shouted.

"Bravo team, I will immediately go to Lee Sok Gyo's base camp. Bring all the evidence to detective Kang. Ask him and his team to investigate this location. After you guys are done, immediately follow me to Sok Gyo's base. Bring all your weapons" I said

"YES SIR!" they reply firmly.

I have a very bad feeling about this. That blood must be her blood. They must have brought Danbi to their base. I have to get there right away.

I walked to the car. My feelings are really mixed, but mostly anger. I really have to protect Danbi. I quickly changed into comfortable clothes, put on a bulletproof vest, and put on a hat and jacket. I checked all my guns, I loaded the bullets and stocked up the ammo.

I immediately drove to the headquarters of Lee Sok Gyo. I parked far away so as not to be suspicious. I immediately brought all my equipment and walked slowly towards Lee Sok Gyo's base. I studied the situation first, before I walked in. I took out my gun and walked slowly and carefully.

The more I walked in, I saw Danbi there. She was unconscious. She was tied to a high stool, and there’s a rope around her neck, tied to the ceiling. This is madness. It would be very easy for them to hang Danbi, just by removing the chair underneath. They are really cruel. This rescue mission will not be easily penetrated.

I'm restless, I keep thinking about what strategy I will use to save Danbi. While I was thinking, I saw Lee Sok Gyo approaching Danbi, I heard his words faintly.

"I once failed to kill your father. And now, I heard your father escaped from my bomb. My son is dating you too. Wahh… I underestimated you. So, guess what?? I decided, I should just kill you straight away. That way, your dad & my son will feel what I felt 16 years ago. The feeling when you lost someone you loved!!!" Said Lee Sok Gyo while laughing like a psycho.
