EVE. My first day at school sucked. Full stop. The classes dragged. The entire air reeked of disinfectant and boredom. And I sat through it all, counting down minutes like a prisoner on death row. Hazer had her own schedule and her own friends. I hardly even saw her, and I didn't blame her for it. We barely shared one class. So I did what I did best – kept my head down, zoned out, and tried to look like I gave a s**t. I sincerely look forward to the day I graduate. But, I was able to make a new friend toward the end of the day. Cole. A cool guy. Said he liked the way I "seemed not to give a damn." Maybe that was his idea of flirting.
