EVE.
The first thing I noticed was the brightness. Blinding white light washed over my face.
I winced, groaning as I tried to open my eyes, but the pain behind my eyelids made me feel like my head had been cracked open.
God, what happened?
I forced my eyes open, bit by bit, and it took a few seconds for my brain to register where I was.
I was in my room. On my bed. And...
My clothes... What was I wearing?
"Oh, my God!" I jerked up immediately, my stomach dropping so hard as I looked down at myself. But an unusual kind of dizziness slammed right through me, and I nearly collapsed again.
"I'd advise you stay calm. You're still recovering," I heard a familiar voice across from me, and for some gut-wrenching reasons, my heart skipped a beat.
