Guinness Book of Firsts

Bryn sat at one side of the table while Hilda and Gert sat at the other side. Hilda could tell the young lady was a bit nervous. “Relax, Bryn. We won’t bite you.” Hilda smiled. “Hard.” Gert grunted as she shifted in her chair. Bryn giggled a little, Gert smiled. Hilda thought how odd that was. She can’t remember Gert ever smiling. Smirk or not. Gert always had resting b***h face. She was an amazing woman and great friend/working family. But she wasn’t one to have what others would consider, fun. The men (with the exception of Gus) were terrified of her. They thought Gert was the witch from Hansel and Gretel and wanted to fatten them up. Hilda thought they were ridiculous but often wondered what Gert did outside of work. Because for the most part, she was always at work. Without complaint.
