Bonding or b*****e?

Bryn didn't see any reason to unpack. She would only be here for a few days. She had to get back to town by Monday. She needed a job. Hanging at the beach house was not going to do that for her. She set her back on the dresser and looked around the room. Peg has been redecorated. She obviously wanted to remove all family memories. All things that were associated with the family they used to have. Especially their mother. Bryn's trophies were still on the shelf over the bed but the walls were painted and the furniture replaced. "Only the weekend Bryn, then back home away from the crazy!" She told herself as she gathered her toiletries and headed towards the bathroom. She opened the door and heard a grunt. Looking around the door she saw Bonnie bent over in the tub. "Oh my God Bonn, are you ok!'' She ran around and helped her out of the tub.  "Oh yeah. Fine. Mental note. That door is way too close to the bathtub." They giggled together.  "I'm sorry. I forgot that the bedrooms share the bathroom." Bryn apologized and hugged her sister.  "You seriously did this to me everytime we came to the beach house, Bryn. Don't act like you forgot!" Bonnie scolded, rubbing her head. "Ok, well. This time I forgot." She squeezed her eyes together and smiled. Bonnie hugged her tight and Bryn kissed Bonnie's head. "Sorry." she said again. Bonnie and Bryn grew up close. They were not quite a year apart. Their mom told them it was because her and their father went camping, a lot. The girls were disgusted by the conversation every time. Too many details!  Bonnie was crazy, Bryn more reserved. Beck was the oldest. She was almost 8 before their parents had Bonnie. Both Mike and Robin were still in graduate school when they got married. Beck was a "surprise".  Bonnie was a blessing. By the time Bryn was born, Bonnie was exasperating and Bryn was the blessing. Beck was in high school when their parents divorced and a year later Mike remarried Peg. She has a son, Cooper, from a previous marriage. They rarely see him. He probably avoids all the crazy like the plague! "Dinner!" Peg yelled at the bottom of the stairs. Ben flew down like someone was chasing him with a knife. Bryn and Bonnie giggled their way down the stairs and into the kitchen. Beck came out of the living room with Mike on her heels.  "Grab a  bowl, ladies. Let's get this out to the table." Their Dad volunteered them as he swept up the basket of rolls and walked behind Peg to the dining room. Beck grabbed the wine. Bryn grabbed glasses. Bonnie grabbed a bottle of Scotch.  "Where is the food?" Peg asked. Beck lifted the wine in the air. Bryn and Bonnie giggled. Emptied their hands and went back to the kitchen for the food. Mike shook his head. Peg cleared her facial expression and sat down next to Mike. "How long are they staying?" She asked in his ear. "The weekend." He said in a hushed tone. She smiled and straightened her shirt.  "Just the weekend." She repeated quietly to herself.  "Dig in!" Peg smiled.
