Another day wasted. And again, they were in their hotel room looking at the ceiling. “Are you awake sister?” Zamarah asked. “Yes.” Nadia answered. “I can’t sleep.” “No kidding.” Nadia snapped. “I’m hungry.” “You ate less than 2 hours ago.” Nadia threw her blankets off and sat up. Zamarah leaned up to her elbow. “What is it sister?” Zamarah asked as Nadia turned the lights on. “Well you are obviously not going to let me sleep. I’m going to the snack machine to get you something. I need some air.” “Thank you, sister.” Zamarah lay back down. Nadia grabbed her housecoat and slipped her shoes on. She grabbed the room card on her way out the door. They sat in the shopping center parking lot for over 2 hours and that boy never came back out.
