Colin POV
Me and my brothers have dropped the girls off at Eliza’s place, Nate decided to join us since he wanted to check in with Nora and Eliza to see how they were doing after what happened. It seems like they’re bonding too and I like that. Mostly when one of us has a girlfriend we try to get along but somehow it alway seems like it’s a one way road. Me and my brothers always try to be nice and friendly, because that’s how we are raised, but then the women we bring home don’t seem to be willing to connect with one of us. And since my brothers and I are really close with each other we find it important that we all get along. There’s only been one girl who got along with all of us, and when she died we we’re all devastated. Especially me. I blink away a tear that has formed in the corner of my eye as I turn my SUV into the dirt road that leads to the cabin. Those fuckers are going to get what they deserve for roofying Nora and Eliza. I pull up in front of the cabin after I took another few turns left and right, it’s well hidden in the woods. As we get out of the car Lewis steps outside and walks towards us.
“Evening, boss.”
“Hey. Have they talked yet?” I ask him.
“No, not yet. Can’t get a word out of them.” Lewis looks annoyed and hands me their wallets.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get them to talk.” Jared says determined and taps him on the shoulder as he passes him.
“We’ll take it from here. Go home and get some rest.” I tell him and he nods. Nate and I follow Jared inside. We walk into the mainroom and there they are, the bastards. Lewis tied them up in a chair and they’re mouths are duct-taped. From what I see Lewis has had his pleasure already since there’s dried up blood in the corner of the right one's mouth and the other one has a black eye. They show no emotion when we enter the room, strange. Nate walks up to them and rips the duct-tape off their mouths.
“AH!” The left one shouts.
“Oh, so you still have your tongue?” Jared asks wickedly.
“Let’s start off simple. What’s your name?” I look at the one on the left.
“Why would I tell you that?” He glares at me. I lean down and squish his wrists between my hands and the wooden armrests.
“Because I asked you nicely.”
“You’re hurting me.” The guy says through gritted teeth.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” I loose my grip and his face has a look of relief.
“Is this better?” I squish again with all of my strength, making him whine.
“Why are you doing this? Why are we here?” The other one suddenly asks.
“Don’t you remember what you did?” Nate looks at him in shock.
“How about we put some drugs in your drink and r*pe you with this stick?” Jared furiously swings a broomstick in the guy's face.
“You chose the wrong glasses to put some roofies in.” Nate says. The guy on the right sighs deeply.
“We didn’t choose them, someone told us to put those pills into those glasses.” He says and my blood boils as I glare at him.
“I didn’t even know what kind of pills they were.”
I walk up to him and grab his jaw, making him look at me.
“Who told you to do that?” I groan but he stays silent.
“Silent treatment again, hu? Your choice.” I walk away with Jared and Nate following me. Once we are outside I smack my fist into a piece of wood standing against the wall, breaking it in two.
“Spare your energy brother, I think we’re going to need it.” Nate says.
“Why don’t we just kill them already?” Jared asks.
“Because I need to know who wanted to drug Nora and why.” I pinch my nose bridge and sigh. Why? Why would anyone want to drug her? I can’t stand thinking about what could’ve happened if we were a few minutes later. We all go sit on the porch and stare at the sunset until it’s completely dark outside.
“I’m thirsty!” I hear one of them shout from inside. They’re making it easier. I walk to the car to get a bottle of water before we get back inside. I grab another chair and sit on it in reverse, opening the bottle of water.
“You want this?” I take a big sip and hand the bottle to Nate who also takes a few sips. The look in the guy’s eyes, following the bottle of water desperately, is priceless.
“You can have a sip if you want to.”
The other guy is looking evenly desperate now.
“But first you’re gonna have to give me some information.” I say sternly.
“We can’t.” The one on the left says.
“And why is that?” Jared looks at him with his head tilted. Again they stay silent. I grab the bottle of water again and take a few sips, leaving just a small amount of water on the bottom. I swing it in front of their noses and I can see the first signs of dehydration on their face.
“Alright, if you can’t talk then you can’t have this either.” I pour out the last bit of water right in front of them. The guy on the right breaths heavily as he shows his teeth.
“What’s wrong? You wanted that last bit of water?” I fake sympathy. The guy on the left desperately tries to get out of his bondaging.
“Get him out of the chair.” I order my brothers. They walk up to him and cut loose the ties before they tie his hands behind his back and he falls on his knees. I grab his hair and pull him up to his foot, his face cringing in pain.
“We are going to get you some water.” I grin and I pull him away by his hair, into the back of the cabin. I kick the door open and enter the bathroom. I push the guy back on his knees before I open the tap of the bathtub and fill it up.
“No, you can’t do this.” He begs and I laugh.
“Oh I can, and I will if you don’t start talking soon.” I threaten him. He lets his head down. After a minute I have enough water to start.
“Who told you to put those drugs in their drinks?” I ask him again but he stays silent. I grab his hair again and pull him over the edge of the bathtub and push him face down into the water. A few seconds of trying to fight against it I pull him back up, making him gasp for air.
“I’m gonna ask you again. Who told you to put those drugs in their drinks?”
Again he stays silent, so I push him back into the water and hold him for a moment. When I pull him back up he tries to take his breath again and right before I want to push him back in he stutters.
“No, please no. I don’t know who he is.”
I squint my eyes and tilt my head looking at him.
“Not enough information.” I say before I push his face back into the water. Suddenly Nate is standing behind me.
“Colin, the other one wants to talk.”
I let go of the guy, leaving him struggling to get back over the edge of the bathtub before he falls on the ground, coughing and gasping for air. When I walk back into the mainroom I put my chair in front of the other guy and glare at him.
“Talk.”
“Look, you have to believe me. I don’t have a name.” He begins.
“Wrong answer.” Jared smacks him in the back of his head but I hold my hand up to prevent him from doing more.
“This guy came to us when we just got in. He gave us those pills and told us to put them in the drinks of those two women. We didn’t have a clue what kind of pills they were.”
“But why did you have to do it? Or why did you do it in the first place?” I ask him.
“I don’t know why. We just had to put it in their drinks and keep them occupied and from there on his ‘men’ would handle the situation.” He pauses for a moment and looks scared at all of us.
“He threatened us. He knew our names, where we lived, who our family was. He threatened to hurt them if we wouldn’t cooperate.” He continues sobbing.
“My girlfriend is pregnant, please let me go.” He’s now ugly crying and I second guess for a moment if I should kill him. Kids have always been my weak spot. I rub my temples as I close my eyes for a second.
“Can you describe that man?”
“I guess he’s in his thirties, brown hair, strongly built.”
“Listen good. We’re going to let you go. But if you dare to tell anyone about what happened, I’m going to be the one to hurt your family, Diego Clarkson.” I point my finger at him and his eyes widen the moment I say his name.
“H-How do you know my name?” He asks confused and Jared laughs from the corner of the room.
“Your ID, you i***t! Did you really think we hadn’t figured out your names by now?”
Diego lets his head down and sobs.
“Is Harry still alive?” He asks.
“I think so, if he didn’t die from drowning already.” I shrug.
“Hey Harry, are you still breathing?” I shout and we hear him moan.
“He’s good.” I get up from the chair and go to the bathroom to get Harry and take him back to the mainroom. In the meantime my brothers have untied Diego and we all get to the car. We keep their hands tied behind their backs and put them into the trunk.
“Don’t be thinking I’m going to be a taxi service. I’m just going to drop you off at the crossroad and from there on you’re on your own.” I glare at them and they nod. We all get in the car and drive off to the paved road. After a few minutes I stop the car at the crossroad and we all get out and open the trunk. Jared and Nate cut the ties and help them out of the trunk.
“Remember. One word to anyone about anything you saw or heard and my face will be the last thing you or your families are going to see. Understand?”
They both nod quickly and run away. Me and my brothers get back in and I drive back home, in desperate need for a drink.
