Chapter 26

Colin POV

We arrive at Eliza’s apartment block and Jared immediately hops out of the limo, followed by Nate and me. The front door opens and we all adjust our posture and straighten our back. The moment they walk through that door it feels like the world stopped spinning.

“Hi!” Nora smiles widely when walking towards us. She sure did her best to look stunning tonight, she looks smoking hot. My jaw clenches and I swallow hard as I catch a glimpse of the black bodysuit we bought together and images of how she looks now without the pants and blazer start to flash through my mind.

“Lost your tongue?”

I get pulled back to reality by her teasing voice. I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her closer to me to lean forward and place a kiss on her forehead.

“I was just overwhelmed by your looks.” And I lean in a bit more.

“I’m considering dropping the others off at the club and taking you back to my place.” I whisper in her ear and I swear I feel her getting goosebumps.

“Am I making it this hard for you, mr. Davies?” She whispers back and I grab her ass and squeeze it tightly. Damn she’s making me hard by just standing here and looking like this.

“You are making certain things hard indeed, mrs. Young.” I groan softly.

“Are you guys coming or what?” I hear Nate shout and I reluctantly let go of Nora. I open the door of the limo and let her get in, scooping her closer to me right after I sit next to her. Jared gets in as well and sits in front of us, tapping the seat next to him to get Eliza to sit there.

“Behave yourself.” She glares at him, but still takes the risk of sitting next to him.

“Oh darling, I always do.” He stretches his arms out and lays one smoothly around her shoulder. That’s my brother. We all burst out laughing and as Nate closes the door behind him I tap on the window next to me to let William know we’re good to go and I feel him drive off. Everyone is laughing and chatting with each other during the ride but I can’t keep my mind to it. I keep wandering off and thinking about the meeting I got with mr. Tanaka. I just hope it all goes well and that he agrees to the alliance.

“Everything alright?”

Nora pulls me out of thoughts and lays her hand on my thigh. I put mine of hers and squeeze it.

“Yeah, there was just some trouble at the hotel before we left and it lingers in my mind. Don’t worry about it.” I say and kiss her on the cheek. D*mn it, I hate myself for lying to her, but I have no other choice. I have to do everything I can to keep her away from the mafia. I couldn’t live with myself if anything happens to her because of what I do. William stops in front of the club and Nate hops out before William even gets a chance to unclick his seatbelt. We all get out and William comes to stand with us.

“Oh hi, William.” Nora greets him with her lovely smile. Oh god, to what do I deserve to have her in my life?

“Good evening, mrs. Nora.” William smiles back and I turn to him.

“I’ll call you when you need to pick us up again.” I tell him, a bit more snippy than it was meant. I’m glad he doesn’t take it that way.

“Enjoy your night everyone.” He says as he nods his head.

“Thank you, William.” We all say in chorus before we walk to the entrance. We pass the long queue, straight to the bouncer who nods his head and opens the door for us immediately.

“Good evening, gentlemen.”

“Dude, you walk in here like you own the place.” I hear Eliza say and me and my brothers chuckle. We take off our jackets and hand them to the lady at the cloakroom.

“What?” Eliza asks again.

“Shall I tell her?” Jared grins at me and Nate and I shrug as I roll up the sleeves of my shirt. She’s going to find out anyway.

“We do own this place.” Jared says casually, like always when he gets to tell people stuff like that. Eliza and Nora both gasp and then Nora walks up to me and smacks me on my chest. It doesn’t hurt but she does have some strength for a woman of her posture.

“Why didn’t you tell me this before?” She asks me in an offended tone and I can only laugh.

“Would it have made any difference to you?” Would you be feeling more or less for me if you knew?” I pull her into my arms.

“No, you know I don’t care about such things. I’m just wondering how much of these surprises you have for me.” She pouts and I can’t resist the urge to kiss those beautiful, plump lips of her.

“You know all you need to know about me, baby doll. All the rest is negligible.” I smile and I hope she believes me and leaves it at this.

“Come on you lovebirds. I need some alcohol.” Eliza shouts. I’m letting go of Nora and we follow the rest into the mainclub. Nate orders some drinks and we all get a glass. Soon we all get into the right mood and we start to dance and laugh with each other. After half an hour of just having fun I take a look at my watch and see it’s time for me and my brothers to go upstairs and meet mr. Tanaka so I lean in to Nora.

“Baby doll, there is a business partner waiting for us upstairs and me and my brothers need to go talk to him for a moment. Will you two be alright down here by yourselves?” I ask her.

“Ofcourse, we’ve done this before we knew you guys so we’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” She kisses me on the cheek and it makes me feel warm.

“Just get back down here real quick.” She continues.

“That is the plan.” I think to myself.

“I will.” I kiss her lips. She opens her mouth and soon our tongues find each other, so I grab her ass and pull her closer to me. D*mn if I had the chance I would f*ck her here and now. I don’t want to pull away from her but I have to. When I look at Jared I see him and Eliza all over each other, dancing and grinding. I tap him on his shoulder and he glares at me, definitely not amused that I interrupted their fun. He leans in to Eliza and she nods before we grab Nate and go upstairs to meet Tanaka. Once we get upstairs we walk past the glass wall that separates the VIP rooms from the main hall. Mr. Tanaka and his men were waiting for us in the last booth.

“Gentlemen.” He says as we arrive.

“Evening.” I say and he gestures to us to take a seat.

“Well, we’re not going to waste any time. Let’s get to business.” Mr. Tanaka says formally and we all take a seat.

“You can rely on it that the cargo will get here unnoticed.” I say as mr. Tanaka and I shake hands after negotiating for what must have been two hours.

“Why did it take this long? I wanted to have some fun with Nora.” I think to myself, slightly irritated.

“I will pick up my share in three weeks at the rendezvous point.” He gets up and one of the scarcely clad women that were lingering around all this time wraps herself around him immediately, so trashy.

“We will be there. Just the three of us like we agreed.” I look him straight in the eye.

“Enjoy the rest of your night with your... good company.” I hesitate in getting the words out of my mouth and a small grin appears on his face.

“It seems like your plus-ones are in good company as well.” He laughs and points behind me. I turn around and peak through the glass wall to the place where we left the girls. My blood starts to boil when I notice two guys standing really close to them and putting their hands around the girls. My brothers stare at the same scene when I shove them aside and run downstairs, followed by Nate and Jared. We squirm through the dancing crowd and my anger is building up more and more the closer I get. In the distance I can see Nora with another man dancing behind her and in an act of rage I push away the waiter that is blocking my way to get to her. Nora turns around and gasps at the man that is now standing in front of her. I reach out, grab him by his collar and pull him away from her. I throw him behind me as Jared and Nate swoop down on the asshole that’s molesting Eliza. Just as I try to reach Nora I see her eyes roll back and go limp right in front me. I just made it to catch her when I see Eliza lose control over her body too and fall into Jared’s arms. I pick up Nora and Jared does the same with Eliza. We carry them to the exit where Lewis is running towards us.

“Are they still in the club, boss?” He asks me.

“I think there are only two men in the club with a bleeding nose right now. Those are the ones you need to catch.” Nate answers him before I can even say something.

“Nate, call William.” I order him. I look at Nora and my heart aches to see her like this. What the hell happened?

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Jared is almost breathing out of his nose. He’s still holding Eliza in his arms like I am holding Nora, they’re both passed out at the moment.

“Roofies.” Jared and I say in chorus. The person who did this is definitely going to bleed. I get sick to my stomach when I think about what could’ve happened if we stayed away a few minutes longer. Nate comes back and he has our jackets with him. He carefully hangs my jacket around Nora and Jared’s jacket over Eliza.

“William is waiting up front.” Nate says as he puts on his own jacket.

“Lewis is taking care of those bastards. I told him to get them to the cabin and keep them there until you give permission to release them.” He continues.

“Well done, Nate. I think I’m going to keep them for a while until I figured out what I’m going to do with them.” I say through gritted teeth as we walk through the door. Williams opens the limo and Nate gets in first.

“Everything alright, sir?” He asks, concerned as I carry Nora into the limo with Nate’s help.

“Not really.” I snap at him and I get in the limo. Jared carries Eliza inside and I help him with it. As we all sit I pull Nora onto my lap and caress her hair. She mumbles incomprehensible and then she snuggles her face into my chest. I look at Jared and he’s holding Eliza tight against his body. From the look in his eyes and Nate’s I know we’re all thinking the same thing. Those fuckers will regret this. It is a silent ride back to our place and when we stop in the underground parking Nate doesn’t even wait for William to open the car door. We all get out and Jared and I carry Eliza and Nora since they’re still passed out from the drugs. Nate runs to the elevator followed by Jared and me.

“What are we going to do with them?” Nate asks as the elevator goes up.

“I’m taking Nora to the penthouse, obviously. Jared, can I trust you to take care of Eliza?” I turn to him.

“Ofcourse.” Jared says shortly, looking at Eliza with a certain look in his eyes.

“Don’t take advantage of the situation.” Nate tries to be funny but Jared and I both glare at him.

“What kind of monster do you think I am? Do you really think I would try to do something with her, or let alone any woman, in this condition? I would never, ever do something like that! It’s not because I like having s*x or find satisfaction in seducing women that I would do something with them without having their full consent. I know my own boundaries and I respect everyone else’s!” He snaps angry at Nate and I go stand in between them.

“Hush, hush, Jared. We know that. He’s just trying to get the tension off the situation, unsuccessfully.” I try to calm him down. The elevator stops at their floor and the doors open.

“Go on, get her to bed and keep an eye on her. Let me know if she wakes up or if something is wrong.” I sigh and they get out. I push the button again, the doors close and open again in my penthouse a few seconds later. I carry Nora to my bedroom and carefully lay her in bed. I take off her shoes and jewelry before I help her out of her pants and blazer, leaving her bodysuit on. I grab a shirt out my closet and put it on her and button it down, then I put her under the covers. I walk back to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of whisky and down it right away. Then I get back to the bedroom where Nora is laying in my bed peacefully. I go to the bathroom to take off my clothes, splash some cold water in my face and brush my teeth. When I get in bed next to Nora she turns around, facing me and snuggles into me. I wrap my arm around her and play with her hair until I wander off into a nightmare.
