Chapter 28

1595 Words
Nora POV Colin and I are standing in the elevator to go downstairs to Eliza. I’m a bit worried about her and I don’t know what state she’s in. Unexpectedly Colin pulls me into a hug and squeezes me tight. It’s like he can just read my mind and knows that a hug is all I need at this moment. The elevator doors open and I follow Colin through a small hallway with two doors. He types in a code and the door unlocks. Jared’s loft doesn’t look like I had imagined it. I thought it would be very dark and edgy but in reality it’s very light. A lot of floor to ceiling windows and an open space with his kitchen and living room. His interior is a nice combination of warm, wooden elements mixed with sleek, industrial accents. “Jared?” Colin raises his voice a little bit. “Bedroom.” I hear him answer and Colin walks through a small hallway to the back of the loft, followed by me. We turn the corner and that’s where I find Eliza sitting on the floor, in the corner of the room. Her arms are wrapped around her knees and she’s rocking herself as she sobs. She lifts her head up and looks at me with tears rolling down her cheeks. I run to her and kneel next to her before I pull her into my arms. “It’s okay. You’re fine.” I whisper and place a kiss on top of her hair. “Where are we?” I hear the confusion and panic in her voice. “We are at Jared’s place.” “Who’s Jared?” She looks at me with a troubled look on her face. I look at Jared, cringes at her words and then I look at Colin, who gives me a look of empathy. “Jared is Colin’s brother, you know? That guy who helped me out with Jack? We went to the club with them last night.” I smile at her and she blinks a few times before she turns her head away. “The club… I remember that. We were dancing and... and... that’s all I remember.” She slowly turns her head back to me before she looks at Colin. “You were there last night.” She says and Colin nods his head. He walks towards us slowly and kneels before us. “That’s right. And my two brothers were there too.” Colin says in a soft voice. Eliza looks at Jared who is slowly stepping towards us. He kneels too and takes her hand in his. “But what happened? Why don’t I remember anything?” Eliza’s eyes are tearing up again. Colin, Jared and I look at each other in silence. “Is anyone going to tell me something or what?” She’s getting a bit agitated. “I guess it’s better if you explain it to her. You did well with me.” I tell Colin and he nods. “Eliza, we were all together in the club last night. At a certain point me and my brothers needed to go upstairs to meet someone. It lasted longer than we expected and just as we were done we saw you two dancing with some strangers. We rushed downstairs and pulled them off you and then you both passed out.” He says calmly. “But, why can’t I remember all of that? And why did I pass out? I wasn’t that drunk.” Eliza is still confused. “There are obvious indications that those guys put roofies into your drinks.” Eliza gasps and looks at me, I can only give her a look of empathy. “I’m so glad that we were on time. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if we were five minutes later.” Jared kisses the back of her hand. “So, you’re telling me that I’ve been drugged and that I have slept here next to you and nothing happened?” Eliza glares at Jared and I chuckle because I know what she’s going to say. “No, we just slept in the same bed. Nothing more, nothing less. We haven’t touched each other.” Jared defends himself. “What a shame.” She shrugs and she looks at Jared from head to toe. Colin and Jared are both stunned for a moment before we all burst out laughing. “I think we have her back.” I laugh. “My bed is empty if you want a second chance.” Jared grins at her and acts like Colin and I aren’t in the room with them. “And my brother is back too.” Colin rolls his eyes. “Hey, what do you mean? I always try to make sure that the girls are having fun.” He stomps Colin’s upper arm. “For a minute I thought you turned into a caring, soft-hearted, hopeless romantic.” Colin teases his brother and Eliza and I both enjoy the moment. Colin gets up and taps Jared on his shoulder. “Glad to have you back.” He smirks. I get up from the floor too and help Eliza to stand on her feet again. Jared is right on time to catch her as she gets really dizzy. “Lay her in bed.” Colin says and Jared picks her up and carries her back to his bed. “Don’t worry, it’s just a side effect from the drugs and alcohol. Try to sleep some more and you’ll feel better soon.” Colin tells her and she nods. “You want me to stay here with you?” I ask her, sitting on the side of the bed. “I’ll be fine. After all, I guess I’ll be watched over the entire time.” She looks at Jared and laughs. “Sure?” “I’ll keep an eye on her, don’t worry. If anything happens I’ll call Colin.” Jared turns back into his responsible alter-ego. I can’t get a hold on this guy. One moment he’s being responsible and protective and the next he’s an arrogant, chauvinistic clown. “Come on, she’ll be fine. Let’s get some breakfast.” Colin wraps his arm around my waist and guides my out. We take the elevator back up and I go sit on the couch as soon as the doors open. The muscle pain is really starting to kick in now and I crack my neck to release some tension. “Goodmorning, can I get a breakfast delivered to the penthouse please? Two people.” I hear Colin tell someone over the phone. “Thank you very much.” “Here let me help you with that.” He says and he starts to massage my neck and shoulders while he stands behind me. His firm but skillful grip makes a moan escape my mouth. “I could enjoy this everyday.” I sigh with my eyes closed. “As you please.” Colin whispers in a low voice in my ear suddenly, giving me shivers down my spine. “Unbutton your shirt.” He commands me. “What?” I look at him behind me, confused. “Just unbutton your shirt, I’ll be right back.” He says and he walks away. I do as he told me and unbutton all the little buttons on his shirt I am wearing. He comes back to the living area with a small bottle in his hands. Colin gets back behind me and lowers his shirt off my shoulders. He takes the straps of my bodysuit and pulls them down too so he has full access to my neck and shoulders. I hear him rubbing his hands together before he places them back on my shoulders and then I scent the amazing smell of the lavender oil he’s using. Colin’s hands really work magic on my sore muscles and I relax fully, letting my head hang forward. He concentrates on my neck now and uses his full hands on the side, rubbing his thumbs along the backside. The feeling of his hands enclosing my neck gives me tingles in my core and I feel my n*pples getting harder. His hands go back to my shoulders and his fingertips run over my collarbones which gives me goosebumps. He pulls me back against the back of the couch and slowly lowers his hands over my chest, still massaging. I rest my head on the back of the couch and keep my eyes closed, just enjoying his touch. Suddenly I feel his lips softly brushing over mine and his beard tickling the tip of my nose. I tilt my head a little bit so I can press my lips on his and it doesn’t take long before his tongue opens my lips. He keeps massaging me while we kiss and circles down his fingertips until he reaches the edge of my bodysuit. I breathe out slowly and he slips his fingers underneath the cups, instantly circling around my n*pples. Then he cups my breasts and massages them too, occasionally rolling my n*pples between his fingers. I feel myself getting wet and really aroused. “Mr. Davies, you’re breakfast is ready.” I suddenly hear someone say through what sounds like an intercom. Colin sighs and breaks the kiss before he reluctantly pulls his hands away from my breasts. “I’ll finish this later.” He groans and gives me a quick kiss on the lips before he walks to his kitchen. I look behind me as I button up the shirt again and see him opening a small service elevator and taking out two trays with lots of food. He places them on the table and grabs everything to set the table. “Grab a chair.” He smiles and I sit myself at the table. We eat our breakfast and in the meantime I enjoy the magnificent view on the skyline that he has. I can’t believe that this is something I’m going to see everyday.
