Nora POV
The limousine that brought me here stops in front of us the moment we walk outside and William steps out to open the door for us. Colin lends me a hand to help me get in then sits himself beside me. Nate and Jared get in as well and William hops in the driver’s seat to get us to the club.
“So, did you enjoy yourself Nora?” Jared starts the conversation.
“It was quite an experience.” I say, and it did feel that way for me.
“I saw you two talking to Felicia, how did that go?” Nate joins the conversation and I can’t help but smirk at the memory of it.
“Yes Nora, how did that go?” Colin laughs, probably thinking back at that moment too.
“Well, she was there with my ex boyfriend Dan, and he tried to intimidate me by saying she was his girlfriend.” I tell them amused.
“He always kept me away from those events, telling me I wouldn’t fit in because I wasn’t born wealthy like him.” I continue, feeling a little down by the memories of embarrassments he gave me, leaving scars on my self esteem. As it probably shows on my face I feel Colin lay his hand on my thigh, giving a little squeeze of comfort.
“I think you proved him wrong there.” Nate chuckles.
“Yeah, and what a retard he is for thinking that he can make you jealous with Felicia.” Jared bursts out laughing and it makes me laugh too. I turn myself to Colin and see him smiling as well.
“Why didn’t she just say she knows you?” I ask him, really wondering why.
“I told you we prefer escorts because of their discretion. At any given moment that we bump into one of them they check in with us first to see if we want to reveal that we know each other.” He explains to me and it did clear the questions in my head so I nod my head understandingly.
“So, are you going back to your work on Monday?” Jared asks and it overwhelms me a bit.
“After what happened I don’t think I can work there anymore so I'm thinking about resigning.”
“Thinking about it? What keeps you from doing it?” Nate asks sincerely.
“I have rent and bills to pay. It’s not like another job will suddenly fall down the sky.” I tell him like it isn’t the most obvious reason and they all go silent until Jared clears his throat. I look at all of them, waiting patiently on what comes next.
“Brother, don’t we have a position open for her?” Jared asks directly to Colin, in a very formal tone. I look confused at Colin and see his jaw clench as he glares at Jared.
“You’re good with numbers right?” Jared turns to me.
“Yes, that was my job at the office, why?” I answer him, still nothing knowing what he means.
“Well, then I think you’re suitable for the job. We need a new assistant to keep up with the accounting.” Jared explains the proposal. I don’t know what to think of it since I didn’t resign yet and I didn’t expect this offer.
“We will talk about this in other circumstances. For now I think we have other, more pleasant, activities.” Colin says in a pretty dominant tone and in some way I find it attractive when he is acting like that. I cross my legs but Colin keeps his hand steady so it is now between my thighs, giving it a little squeeze which makes my core tingle. I look at Colin and I notice his stern look towards Jared, who probably knows when to back off with Colin so he just starts to chat with Nate. The limousine stops in front of the club and William gets out again to let us out. Nate and Jared get out first, then Colin before he lends me a hand to help me out. I see a long queue to get inside and sigh.
“That’s gonna take long to get in.” And I exhale heavily.
“Don’t worry baby doll.” Colin comforts me while he puts his hand on my back again, leading me directly to the bouncer.
“Good Evening gentlemen, miss.” The bouncer nods and he clears the entrance immediately. I feel Colin’s hand press against my back to encourage me to go further so I pass by the bouncer, giving him an awkward smile. Once we’re inside I take my phone to text Eliza to see where she is. Colin takes his jacket away from my shoulders and gives it to the person running the coat room, together with his own suit jacket with his tie tucked in the pocket. Nate and Jared do the same thing and they all seem to have the same habit to roll up their sleeves as soon as they take off their jackets. My eyes trail the tattoos showing on both Jared’s and Colin’s arms, along with the muscles that tense under their movements. My phone vibrates and I take a look.
Eliza: “I’ll meet you at the bar. X”
“Do you know where your friend is?” Nate asks me while he unbuttons the top buttons on his shirt.
“Yes, she’ll meet us at the bar.” I say, feeling a bit excited to introduce them to my best friend.
“Ok, lead us the way then.” Jared points with his arm and I start walking towards the main area. After we got ourselves through the crowd I see Eliza flirting with the bartender and I reach out to get her attention. She wrestles herself towards me and hugs me tight. After she loosened me I turn to the guys to introduce them.
“Eliza, this is Nate. Nate, this is Eliza.” I say as they shake hands, smiling.
“This is Jared. Jared, meet Eliza, my best friend.” Jared takes Eliza’s hand and places a kiss on top of it. They stare into each other's eyes until I wave my hand between them, laughing and they snap out of trance. Then Colin steps forward and reaches out his hand to Eliza.
“And this is Colin.” I say with a big smile and Eliza gives me a playful grin before she shakes his hand.
“So, you are the guys that saved her from that bastard?” She asks, looking at all three of them.
“He received a few good punches, yes.” Jared says smugly.
“Well, then the first round is on me. What do you guys like to drink?” She asks enthusiastically and they tell her what they want and she orders it. After she hands out their drinks she gives me a glass of rosé and we go to the middle of the dancefloor where Eliza and I start to dance. Colin leans into me so I can hear him above the loud music.
“My brothers and I need to go upstairs for a while, if you need us text me and we’ll be down in a minute.” He says and I feel his hand resting on my back, giving me butterflies again.
“Do you know someone in the VIP?” I ask surprised, but interested and a small grin appears on his face.
“Something like that. Remember, if something is wrong just text me.”
He taps Nate and Jared, who was already dancing with Eliza, on the shoulder to make them come with him.
“Where are they going?” Eliza asks me while she keeps dancing to the R&B music.
“To the VIP, they know someone up there or something.” I answer, not exactly knowing what they have to do up there either. I feel my phone vibrating and as I take it out I see it’s a text from Colin.
Colin: “The rest of the drinks are on me btw.”
Nora: “Be careful with that offer ;)”
Colin: “Just don’t drink yourselves into the hospital please.”
I laugh at his texts and put my phone back in my clutch. I look up to see if I can spot the guys upstairs in one of the VIP booths but I can’t find them right away so I go back to dancing with Eliza. Two hours and a few drinks later Eliza and I both are a bit tipsy and grinding against each other. The men around us are staring but I don’t care, I am just enjoying my party. Then I feel two hands wrapping around my waist and as I turn my head I feel Colin pushing his body against mine, moving with the same rhythm as me. I place my hands on his and push my butt back against him, swinging my hips to the music.
“I wouldn’t do that too much if I were you.” He groans in my ear, making my core tintle again.
I turn around and wrap my arm around his neck, smiling playfully. Colin smiles back but I see the lust in his eyes as he bites his lip when he looks down at me. I turn around in his arms again and start to laugh as I see Eliza and Jared wrapped all around each other and Nate dancing like nobody’s watching. We dance for another hour, keeping it decent but the light touches that we give each other are making my core heat up. After an hour I glance over to Eliza and notice that she is wasted by now so I go over to her and immediately she starts to grind against me, laughing.
“Where did you find these guys Nora? Especially this cutie behind me.” And she points her thumb to Jared who is dancing against her.
“One of them on the street and the other two in a pub.” I say casually and I look over my shoulder to Colin and smile when I notice he’s watching me.
“I think it’s time for us to go home, you’re wasted.” I tell her as I feel she is struggling to keep herself up.
“I think you’re right. Let me call a taxi.” She says as she grabs her phone but I lay my hand on hers to stop her.
“I will take care of it, don’t worry.” I walk over to Colin and as soon as I arrive he wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me closer.
“Would you mind giving her a ride home? Eliza is wasted and I don’t want to let her take a taxi alone.” I ask him concerned.
“Did you really think I would let the two of you get home by yourself? I will text William to get the limo out front.” He answers with a smile.
“Come on, let’s get your wasted ass home.” I say to Eliza as I wrap my arm around her waist to guide her to the exit and she whines in protest.
“I love you, you know that right?” She says as she hugs me tight. She always gets clingy when she’s drunk and I find it hilarious.
“I know, I love you too.” I tap on her back and I feel her go limp in my arms. I see all three men staring at us, chuckling.
“Don’t you dare to laugh!” I threaten them playfully and Colin glares at me right away.
“Or what?” He challenges me in the same playful way.
“Or else we will kick your asses.” Eliza mumbles as she turns around and leans on my shoulder, barely keeping herself standing. Jared and Nate burst out laughing and I can’t help but giggle at her comical attempt to sound intimidating. Colin comes over with all the jackets and gives his leather jacket to me, Nate and Jared taking over from me to keep Eliza on her feet. I throw Colin’s jacket over my shoulders and then we all walk outside where the limo is already waiting for us.
“My taxi is a limo?” Eliza squeals.
“You came here in a f*cking limo?” She continues in disbelief, making me laugh.
“Yes, I came here in a limo.” I confirm her, not really wrapped my head around the idea myself yet. William opens the door for us and Nate and Jared get in first with Eliza between them. Then I grab Colin’s hand to get in myself, him coming right after to sit next to me. The whole ride we laugh at Eliza’s drunken insults to everyone, knowing too well that she’ll probably not even remember them tomorrow. When we arrive at her place Nate and Jared get out first to help her out, preventing her from tripping on the sidewalk. She sticks her head in the limo again, smiling widely.
“Can I keep one?” She asks innocently, looking at Colin and I can’t help but smirk.
“They’re both grown ups.” He shrugs in reply.
“Yeah no sh*t captain obvious. But you seem like a bossy type so I thought I should ask you.” She teases him and it makes us both smile.
“In your condition I think it’s better to go to bed alone tonight.” I tell her, knowing too well what will happen and that she’ll probably regret it tomorrow morning.
“I guess you’re right. Bye!” She agrees with me, thank goodness. I look through the window and as I see her stumble inside I shake my head. Nate and Jared get in the limo again and we drive off to my place.
“She’s a handful, isn’t she?” Colin asks as he rests his hand on my thigh again, giving me tingles in my core.
“A handful? A few hands I would say.” Nate smirks.
“I could handle it, if I were allowed.” Jared joins in, glaring playfully at me.
“She’ll probably not even remember half of tonight, when she’s sober you can do what you want.” I defend myself.
“I guess you’re right.” Jared agrees with me and I’m glad for it. We recap all the dancing and drinking of tonight and laugh at the unsuccessful insults that Eliza made. As we take the turn to my street we see bright blue lights flickering all over it. My heart almost beats out of my chest and when the limo stops I notice a bunch of firetrucks standing in front of my apartment block.
