Chapter 14

1423 Words
Colin POV We all stayed rather quiet during the ride home except for the silent sobbing from Mrs. Miller, which I totally understand. I can’t imagine what it feels like to watch my home, that I have worked so hard for, exploding right in front of me. Nora has her head layed on my shoulder as we pull up in front of the hotel building. William opens the door and Nate and Jared get out first, followed by Mrs. Miller and Henry. Nora lifts her head up slowly and gets out as well, followed by me. I can’t help but admire her ass as she bows down so she doesn’t bump her head against the ceiling of the limo. We all go inside and gather in the lobby while the taxis with the other residents arrive at the hotel. “Goodnight Valerie, I need you to give these people a room for an unspecified period.” I say to the receptionist who looks quite overwhelmed by the number of people that arrive at this hour. “Ok Mr. Colin, do you have a preference for what type of rooms I should put them in?” Valerie answers with a judging look behind me. “Their stay is at my expense.” I glance at her and her cheeks start to blush of shame. “How many rooms do I have to book sir?” She asks me, not daring to look me in the eyes. “We don’t know yet, my brothers will stay down here to help you manage everything.” I say before I walk away, to Nora. She’s standing at the door and guiding people down to the lobby. As soon as she looks at me, with an exhausted look on her face, I pull her into my arms and she starts to sob immediately. “Come on, Nate and Jared will handle it here. Let’s go upstairs.” I tell her while I rub her back to comfort her. She looks up with a confused look. “Please Colin, just make sure all the others have a room before I get to mine. I will wait last.” She says with tears in her eyes and her caring character warms my heart. “Nora, you’re not staying in a hotel room tonight. You’re coming upstairs, with me.” I raise my brow. “But...” She tries to argue with me. “No discussion.” I say in my dominant tone and she sighs in agreement. We walk over to Nate and Jared who are trying to make sure everyone is ok. “Hey, you guys can manage it down here?” I ask them and they nod. “Ok, make sure everyone gets a room. Try to keep families together, Valerie is on it. I’m bringing Nora upstairs. If you need me just call me.” I order them before I put my arm around Nora’s waist and guide her to my private elevator. I type in the code and the doors open immediately since me and my brothers were the last ones to use the elevator a few hours ago. We get in the elevator and as soon as the doors close we go up to the top of the building. “Where are you taking me exactly?” Nora asks me after a big yawn had escaped her. “To my place, top floor.” I answer smoothly and it makes her glare at me. “You live in a hotel room?” She asks with her brow raised. “Something like that.” I chuckle right before the doors open. I put my arm out to let her get out before me and I almost bump into her because she stopped right outside the elevator, looking all around her. “Welcome to my place.” I lay my hands on her shoulders, she turns around and lays her hands on my chest. “This is a nice hotel room.” She says casually while she looks around and a smile appears on face. “Enjoy your stay, miss.” I reply formally and we both burst out laughing. I pass her to go to the open kitchen to get us something to drink. “Would you like some soda or do you need something stronger?” I ask her as I open the fridge. She walks over to me and sits herself on a stool at my kitchen island. “Just a glass of water is fine.” So I give her a glass and pour some whisky in mine. “Don’t be mad if I’m asleep from the minute I plop down your couch. It looks very comfy.” She chuckles playfully but it makes me angry that she thinks I’m letting her sleep on my couch. “I have a spare room, you will sleep in there.” I tell her with a stern look on my face. I get behind her and place my hands on the counter, feeling her body against my chest. “Or you can sleep in my bed, at your own risk.” I whisper in her ear and I’m sure I hear a whimper escape her. “And what are the risks associated with it?” She asks in a low voice, making my shaft stiffen in my pants. She sure knows how to tease. I place my hands on hers, resting on the counter. “Hmm, a feeling of safety through the night.” I stroke my hands over her arms, up to her shoulders and I feel the goosebumps appear. “A feeling of warmth.” My hands go from her shoulders to her back, caressing her sides. “A feeling of admiration.” I whisper as my hands trail from her hips to her knees, over her thighs. “A feeling of h*rnyness maybe.” I let my hands caress her inner thighs, lifting up her dress and a gasp escapes her mouth. Her hands hold on to my arms as my thumbs gently rub her inner thigh muscles. The bulge in my pants grows bigger with each moan she lets out. She turns around on the bar stool with one leg on each side of me, her hands resting on my chest. “Mr. Davies, although I find the offer very tempting, I think it’s better for me to protect myself from such high risks.” She whispers in my ear, teasing playfully which makes me groan. “Then I will show you your room Ms. Young, follow me.” I say as we suddenly pull ourselves from our little moment. I take her hand and lead her to my guest bedroom. As we walk through the penthouse I hear her chuckle in amusement. “Here you go. If you need anything, my bedroom is down the hall on your left.” I say a little awkward, rubbing the back of my neck. Nora seems to have regained her shame too and looks down to the floor and I hear her sobbing. My heart breaks to see her like this and I pull her into my arms. “What’s wrong baby doll?” I ask concerned. “It just falls to me that I have nothing but this dress and these jewelry. All of my stuff is gone.” Tears are rolling down her cheeks now as she is sobbing uncontrollably. I run my hand through her hair to try and comfort her. She pulls herself away from me and an idea pops in my head. I take off my jacket and unbutton the top of my shirt before I pull it over my head and hand it over to her. “Will this do for tonight?” I ask her and she nods. “Your bathroom is over there.” I point at the door in the corner of the room. “And again, if you need me. I’m down the hall, on your left.” I tell her before I give her a kiss on her forehead and leave the room to go to mine. As soon as I enter my room I take off my shoes and pants and lay myself on the bed before I turn off the lights. I take the remote control to put the TV on to watch some netflix. Half an hour later I hear the door peak open and I watch Nora sneak inside and shuffle to my bed. She lifts up the blanket and crawls next to me so I lift up my arm to invite her to lay against me. “I couldn’t sleep, the images of the explosion keep popping in my head.” She whispers as she rests her head on my chest. I run my hand through her hair and turn off the TV. “Don’t worry baby doll, everything is going to be alright.” I whisper and a few minutes later I notice she fell asleep in my arms.
