“Eliza, don’t!” I yell as I follow her on her way to Colin’s office. I grab her arm to try and stop her from going in, unsuccessfully, as she knocks on the door but doesn’t even wait for someone to call her in. She slams the door open, making all of them turn to us with a slight shock on their faces.
“What is all that yelling in here about?” I hear her say and I wonder what they’re going to tell her.
“Nothing, baby. Don’t worry about it.” Jared says as he steps towards her but as I expected from my best friend she just takes a step back as she crosses her arms over her chest.
