Eli didn’t hesitate this time. The moment morning came, he left his house with only one thought in mind, Find him. Kael. The name echoed in his head like it belonged there. Like it had always been there. “I’m actually doing this…” Eli muttered, running a hand through his hair as he walked down the same street from last night. It felt different now. Not scary. Not unfamiliar. But… leading. Like something was guiding him. His steps slowed. Then stopped. A strange warmth spread through his chest again. Stronger than before. “…You’re here,” Eli whispered. “I was about to say the same thing.” Eli turned sharply. And there he was. Kael. Standing a few feet away, like he had been waiting all along. No distance. No shadows. No running this time. Just them. Face to face. For a moment, neither of them spoke. But the silence wasn’t empty. It was heavy. Full. Alive. “You came back,” Kael said quietly, his voice softer than Eli had ever heard it. Eli swallowed. “I… I had a dream,” he admitted. Kael’s expression shifted instantly. “What kind of dream?” Eli hesitated. Then stepped closer. Slowly. Carefully. “About you.” That was all it took. Something in Kael’s control cracked. Not fully, But enough. “What did you see?” he asked, his voice lower now, almost afraid of the answer. Eli stopped just in front of him. Close enough to see everything. Those eyes. That expression. That feeling. “You said… it was our home,” Eli whispered. Kael’s breath hitched. “And?” he pressed. Eli’s heart started racing again. “I felt something,” he continued. “When you touched me.” Kael didn’t move. Didn’t breathe. Waiting. “I don’t understand it,” Eli admitted. “But it felt… real.” Silence fell between them again. But this time... It wasn’t painful. It was something else. Something building. Kael slowly lifted his hand. “…Can I?” he asked, his voice unexpectedly gentle. Eli hesitated for only a second. Then nodded. That was all the permission Kael needed. He stepped closer, And reached out. His hand hovered for a moment before resting lightly against Eli’s cheek. Warm. Careful. Like he was afraid he’d break him. The moment their skin touched The bond snapped. Alive. A sharp gasp escaped Eli as his eyes widened. Memories, Stronger this time. Clearer. Kael laughing. Holding him close. Whispering promises into his hair. “I’ll never leave you.” Eli stumbled forward slightly, his hand gripping Kael’s shirt. “Kael—” his voice broke. That was it. That was everything. Hearing his name like that, Not confused. Not distant. But like it belonged to him. Kael lost control. His other hand moved instinctively, pulling Eli closer, his forehead pressing against his. “Say it again,” he whispered, his voice raw. Eli’s breath came uneven. “…Kael.” The name wrapped around him like it always had. And this time, Kael didn’t hold back. He pulled him fully into his arms. Tight. Desperate. Like letting go wasn’t an option. For a second, Eli froze. But then… Slowly… His hands lifted. And held onto him. Not fully. Not completely. But enough. Enough to make Kael’s heart ache. Enough to make the bond burn brighter. “I don’t remember everything,” Eli admitted quietly against his chest. “I know,” Kael replied. “But… I don’t want you to disappear again.” Those words, Soft. Uncertain. But real... Hit deeper than anything else. Kael tightened his hold slightly. “I won’t,” he said firmly. A promise. One he had already broken once. And would never allow himself to break again. But neither of them noticed... The figure watching from a distance. Hidden. Silent. Waiting. “So it’s starting…” the stranger murmured, eyes dark with interest. “Good.” A faint, dangerous smile appeared. “Let’s see how long this bond survives… this time.” so..., what do you guys think? please vote and comment 🥹
