Chapter 1 Arrival of the Spy… On a quiet night, the skies above were filled with stars illuminating brightly and beautifully, amidst the silence upon the fields on which no animals were grazing or feeding, the calm and serenity of things were visible as one distinct star stood out amongst the others in the sky. The moon shone in beauty as well, bearing its alluring blue rim just in perfect sync with the stars' glow up above. The constellation above made a beautiful view for those who dwelled their lives upon watching the stars and making meaning of it. It held within its display an even more beautiful alignment than any to be seen in months before. It was a clear night unlike any other, and the fresh air made it feel even more special unlike any other that had passed days before. Everything looked framed within the definition of normal, and all was as it had always been, until a strange occurrence began high up above, beyond the clouds, and embedded almost in the heavens. It all began with the most dazzling of the stars high up above, which stood in uniqueness, and had shone brightly amongst its peers. It had started spinning wildly in an odd manner, which it continued to do for the next few minutes before the transformation in a bright flash of shooting star falling at a rapid rate unlike any normal star does when it falls. Breaking the silence was the melodic, ear-pleasing and alluring choir of angels singing loudly "Om So Hum Mantra." The pace of the shooting star heightened with the tempo of the song being sung aloud in heavenly melody took to its peak, as he descended upon the earth at an alarming rate. Those who were, fortunately, groping their telescopes might have been lucky enough to witness the shooting star, but most were asleep, unaware of the phenomenon occurring through the dead of the night, deep until morning began to rear its head. The shooting star finally made its descent upon the earth, crashing hard upon the vast and silent field, with nobody in sight to see it happen. An air of smoke rose from the spot, with fumes emanating into the air like a spaceship had just crash landed and the gas fumes from its explosions had gotten into the air. Joshua arrivingThe rise of the morning sun coincided with the crawling of a man out the crash site, where the shooting star had made contact with the earth. He held in his hand a cane made of acacia wood, and looked nothing like a man who had just descended from dangerous heights into the soil. He seemed unharmed, untainted and as clean as one who had just exited the morning shower. The sunrise which had begun appearing at the foot of the mountain, finally shed more illumination on the strange man all donned in weathered blue jeans, a plain white shirt and a brown cotton hoodie above his head, He had on his neck, a bronze amulet with an embedded image which looked worn and equally faded, but still providing a good view of the pictures on it, one of which was that of his mother, Mary Magdalene and three kings, as well as another of the angel Michael slaying Satan with his long and mighty sword. Finally getting up on his feet, while slightly hunched against his acacia cane, his average height provided him just enough view of the site of his crash, where he had crawled out from to gain a better perspective of the mountain, as well as the environment, which his landing had restructured powerfully. With a slight smile across his lips, he cast his gaze upon the horizon up ahead, where the rising sun had begun illuminating perfectly, to provide him with an unparalleled view of the beautiful lands and mountains over the horizon and before him. The mountains in his view ranged in height, mirroring the one on which cliff he stood, as well as others differing in height and size along the extended terrain. He satisfied his eyes, and began the descent down into the valley, in a slow, but a necessary move that brought with it a feeling of rush within his young body, and reminded him of the fact that he was just a few years into his thirties. His limp hindered the natural spring in his steps, but he managed just fine and enough to get down to the valley where he heard the melodic tune of birds chirping. The shadowy figures flew up above him, chirping and singing away, while he cast his gaze upon them with one hand flattened out above his eyes to keep out the intrusive sunlight. The birds flew past him without bother, just before a strange noise came from nearby and a bush had begun moving but with no sight of what made the branches swerve. He walked closer to satisfy his curiosity, just within the same period a large white-tailed deer buck with pointed antlers jumped out of the bush and startled him to a scramble backward with his cane in hand. He could feel his heart pounding as he chuckled and tried desperately to calm himself. The deer remained still, as it gazed upon the man in a powerful gaze and stance while wearing a majestic rack and aura around it as well. He seemed to be fascinated by the strange man, who had calmed himself and raised his hand towards the majestic deer. "Go in peace now," he said in his first few words, that came easing past his lips, just as the deer obeyed and galloped away out towards the pasture.
