Within the instant, she gasped back into life, coughing out loudly. Alima took one deep breath after another in the process to the sound of cars honking their horns and people talking. She looked at Joshua with solemn eyes. It became easy for her to believe she was alive and no longer afraid.
They finally arrived at the hospital emergency entrance. "I will go get a medic," Tariq said. He ran off and went inside and immediately came back with a medic and a stretcher to pick up Alima. Sarah looking down at Alima, grabbed her hand, and began to shed a tear. "Hang in their little one," she said, accompanying Alima. As they both walked into the main entrance of the hospital, Tariq looked at Joshua, worried sick, wondering if she was going to survive.
