Chapter 15 War against Joshua The following morning was a clear day, and there was not a cloud in the sky. The sun's rays shimmered onto the desert's soft pillowy dunes. Joshua began his walk back to Sarah and the group. As he walked on the desert, his shoes picked up scoops of sand with each step. Every step became harder and harder, and he used his walking cane to support himself. His walking cane sank into the soft desert sand on every level. He kept moving, walking toward the highest ground on the next rise of the sand dunes. All of a sudden, he heard a rumble in the sky.
