Chapter 9
Arrival in Iraq
The plane finally began its descent towards Baghdad international airport as the pilot informed the passengers of their arrival.
"Folks we're about to land in Baghdad and the weather today is sunny," he sounded like a glad man bringing the journey to an end. "We thank you for flying with us; we will be landing shortly."
The "fasten your seat belt" light had just come on with a beep while Brad opened the sliding window panel to take a good look outside the plane.
"Take a look at this," he said, prompting Sarah and Joshua to turn their heads to look in the direction of the window.
All they could see were sand dunes and some white buildings. The plane got closer to the ground with each passing fraction of a second, before finally meeting its wheels with the tar
