He was sharing bread and cup with them in remembrance of his last night with his disciples. It is a solemn and holy night to consider all that had happened within the final hours before the guards arrested him and took him away. Joshua had been sitting at the head of the table with his disciples by his side when he had said;
"I assure you that one of you will betray me," in a profoundly distressed tone.
He could recall each one begins to say to him, "Surely not I. Lord," before he replied; "The one who dips his hand with me in the bowl will betray me."
He could recall taking a large loaf of wheat bread and lifting the bread above his head and breaking the bread in half after he had blessed it, before saying unto them;
"Take and eat it, for this is my body given to you, so for this day
