Asteria:  Sirena’s eyes widened, her hands trembled. She was silent for a few moments. She was thinking about her response. I knew she didn’t want to tell me it was impossible. I knew when I asked that this was an impossible request. But I needed to try my hand. I didn’t want Henry touching me, if we could avoid it. The thought of his face made vomit raise in my throat. I wasn’t sure if I could stand his touch. When he was holding me earlier, I had fought the need to push him away.  I knew he had hurt me before. Henry must have forced me against my will.
